  2. ^ yea a device with a accelerometer will do the same thing and is ideal but cost $. Same results with a crusty laptop hooked up to the spark output ftw just cant take the numbers it puts out as gospel. heres a little chart for inlet runner length choose your cam timing (the pulse is created by the valve) and the length is in inches up the side very crude but a rough idea
  3. basically the weight of the car is the reference takes x amount of torque to move x weight in a certain time, tach pulses give the time, find the weight (plus drive ratios etc) and it will pump out the torque. It works mint trust me but conditions have to be similar, same road no big winds etc but useful tool. Megasquirt is so aws because the code is open to anyone so all the good cunts out there can implement crazy ideas. Links hardware could do all the same shit as its more powerful just being out to make money they hold back shit for better versions etc

  5. yea second set of injectors on top of throttles is worth a few hp but having the room to set is the problem. Megasquirt extra code has teh mean injector staging system. Also with resonance tuning your almost always going to be catching the second or third reflection theres no basic all aplication formula. Used this street dyno before which measures the time between spark pulses to tell if acceleration has been improved thus giving you a basic as dyno plot. works mean for seeing if trumpets or your tune change the power. Can give close to real world figures if you accurately put in the weight, drive ratios etc tis a mean tool seen guys dial in cam timing with it got it pretty bang on
  6. um you can take a screenshot using the print screen key on your keyboard then paste it in paint or theres a save as bitmap options
  7. gave it a fresh matty b job for nats was finished the day before but came up sweet ( cheers to the guys who took pics at nats) Also after not realy liking 1gge's Ive ended up with two 1gges a 1ggze and a spare head.(the pics are a shambles) A filthy 1g sitting next to my 1jzgte another filthy 1g and a 1ggze with the spare head on it notice the hooge ports so theyve got some mad tvis stz ala 4age plans are to chuck a 1gge in it and drive it, and rebuild one of them with a planed head cams etc. Also picked up some more itb's I have a couple of megasquirts (diy engine management) sitting around so will chuck one on and go individual throttles. cad'd up some flanges and mike-e's getting them laser cut then a mate is going to weld them up so basically hoping to have a 1g in and running on itb's and megasquirt by next track day. which should be pretty easy as its all bolt up and I have all the parts

  10. well dude with a 1jz has done 40,000kms in a 1500kg car with 240kws on an unknown condition box. some of the higher hp guys destroy them but jag = fine. Im doing a 6 throttle conversion just need to copy that * 2 haha but depends on your port spacing and angles so could be easy/hard. Start collecting those 20v throttles you'll need 4 sets as you cant use the end ones

  13. ^ I agree with you there on some engines have quite decent cast manifolds but the 1uz ones are literally a log. Pretty sure theres dyno results on the soarer forums of pretty crappy extractors giving gains. Anyway havn't found those pics yet but will keep looking

  19. Hmmm yea intercooler is still desirable as compressing air generates heat tis basic thermodynamics. Crazy v8 setups still run intercoolers usually water/something colder sits under the super charger. I think an sc14 is a pretty asthmatic charger its runs out of puff pretty quick on a 1ggze. Also yea throttle after the blower = just run a couple of bov's to vent the pressure, seen a few 4agze's setup like this its stops the lag of the engine sucking up the air in the cooler piping when you throttle off. But gives you crazy throttle response with that boost waiting there basically pushing the butterfly open!!

  23. more spam in brads thread, but thats a silly statement a 40mm bike carb will pretty much flow the same as a 40mm throttle body of a 20v which only revs to 8000ish. its all a cost and convenience thing which way you go
