  1. all going to plan i should be bringing and old car for a change. should be easy to spot us.
  2. 2nd question, i found road tuning to be awesome as it allows you to tune pretty much every where quite well and it is much cheaper than using a dyno, dyno would be good to tune max horse power as you can get up in the speed very quickly on the road tuning such things. but it does take a bit of time and to do it all on a dyno if you even could would be costly. that said we didnt spend a huge amount of time tuning my car. its peice of cake with a wide band and seen as your using MAP/MAF/what ever sensors they almost auto tune them selves these days depending on what ECU you get. 4th question, yup they come with all sorts of output controls. alot have PWM for controlling stepper motors and cant think of any ECU that doesnt have relay outputs.
  3. guess we wait and see for when i put it on then. which will hopefully be this weekend if paint is hard enough.
  4. yeh hahei is gonna be sweet. you no like the idea of diff colour spoiler mr ky? i think it will look choice. was thinkin of maybe doing grill similar colour but unsure if that is too much dark stuff up front.
  5. Hopefully the last of the painting on this all done now. Assemble this weekend and WOF early next week and she will be all go for hahei. I painted the chin spoiler the same metallic grey as the tail light panel. Is a cool colour i hope it works well.
  6. looks like max fun. did i miss the OS photo thread? only seen what yowzer posted on facebook
  7. bumping this, going to discuss car situation for hahei so please come if you intend to goto hahei.
  8. sweet. At this stage i will be taking japawags unless he gets his crown going. presuming he still wants to roll with me haha. Hey yowzer how bout that monthly meet post so we can organise some stz?
  9. Us from hamilton were intending at current on heading up and meeting with every one else at Bombay if that was still the plan.
  10. Paint prep is getting old but atleast these should be the last items i need to do for a while. Etched front valance and spioler and the rear light panel is getting a lush up also.
  11. just drill and tap it like i did. they are only alloy so piss easy to do. i had one of those originally before i got a factory thermo housing of ky with the right holes in it. also they are useless for anything but thermo fan switches i found as you cant get a temp sensor in one close enough to the block for it to warm up with the engine so you can use it as the ecu temp.
  12. Log book, once my cert plate arrives this will be road legal once again after 2 years!!
  13. From rubber soul in Japan. http://www.rubber-soul.net/p-naisou.htm
  14. I agree very much with Brad. Be very careful, after driving my car down for a cert and back to TA i am now trying to back track a bit. I have defiantly started bordering on being more track oriented than road with my skyline and i haven't done alot to it. Doing a half cage and harnesses isnt to bad. Its all the running gear to make it fast on the track that makes it a bit of a chore to cruise with on the road. If you want sweet seats i recommend these. These are for skyline but im sure would fit a Z with out to much effort.
  15. Have fun guys, i wont be there this year. going to south island to party with them bogans down there this time.
  16. Yeah as keegan said i can only take 1 extra hah. what's wrong with the commodore brad?
  17. i should be all ready for this. almost need to make wrc touring stage intercom so you can speak in the car haha. maybe i went a bit to far but shit its fun.
  18. went for a cert today. failed on technically 2 things but only 1 is on my fail sheet, the fact i had not got round to getting a horn button. the other thing i failed on is it measures 99db on the exhaust test so it is a bit loud. but certifier said just get a MSNZ log book and be exempt from the noise rules as driving its has a note but its not super loud and droney in the car plus i intend to do club stuff with it anyways so might as well just get a log book. August Feroces all round. shot japawags for chucking the tyres on for me. now to reassemble it a bit more and see if i can make it a tad quieter to cruise in. 3500rpm at 100kph is not going to lend well to fuel bills haha.
  19. whoops my host went down and i didnt check it. back up now and have a sweet vps so wont go down again. link http://cad.10-5.info/ chucked all the stuff in the first post up there and chucked some stuff i had floating round up. put my rb26dett itb plates up as the one in the first post looked a bit lacking in some stuff as all i saw in DS was just holes. will chuck some more stuff up slowerly as i remember what it is, all my shit when i was at work was saved as part numbers and not usefull files names haha. have drawings for adjustable bucket seat brackets which ill put up at some stage, though these need to be folded but no reason why you couldnt just cut and weld.
  20. slammed some filter socks on it for road use. the biggest ones i could get, havent driven it yet to see if they restrict it much as LSD is the last thing i need to sort out before cert. and mock up of front spoiler. still on stands so couldnt roll it out and get a good pic but you get the idea. restored panels are fucking awesome. such a mint fit right out of the box.
  21. It all looks pretty tidy. I will do a test fit this weekend when the car is back on the ground. Assembling my LSD at current. Air freight is well worth it and for something like my LSD which weighed 10kgs it was only 1/3 again more expensive to have it in 5 days as opposed to 40-60 days sea freight. That on its own was what sold me on air freight.
