  1. Just bought one of these filth demons today. 2000tc manual. Straight as an arrow. Got it from an old guy that had owned it for 22 years. Its literally showroom condition. They sound cool too.
  2. New wheels look wicked. 9 years in a paddock! You did a good thing saving this car. Awesome result too
  3. Love it! Awesome car. Like the mags. Gold centers ftw
  4. Thats a Serious sleeper!!! 190KW At the wheels. Krikey!!
  5. Ring - Ding - Ding - Ding 300 Mercury ftmfw
  6. Fingers crossed i might have the coupe running soon. Fixed ALL the rust on thur, fri and sat: firewall (most of it cut out and replaced inside and out) front windscreen (both corners) rear windscreen (both corners) Passenger Sill floors A pillars B pillar Just prime, bog and paint left NO RUST, ALL METAL YAY!!! A Fuck load of rust repair, but i think its worth it. Didnt cost me anything, some cut fingers, skinned knuckles and a few nasty splater burns. but hey, its all metal now!!, no cancer. Hopefully next weekend i'll lay on some primer and start the bogging. Can anyone reccomend a really good, strong paint, thats not hard for a relative n00b to spray? Will post some pics soon
  7. For sure. Wouldnt want to take a cam near it. Engines without valves = filth. Fronte = filth. filth + filth = FILTH Its either gonna be an outboard or a rotor no doubt about that. Or if i can get one cheap enough, a tz750 or the suzuki "waterbus" 750. Dont like air cooled shit. Unless it piston is smaller than my finger. With one exception. The Kwaka H2. Thats one sexy air cooled bike. My 4 door is safe, in the shed. It should get another wof (if it had an engine). I have 2 running coupe motors and enough pistons to make up another running 360 for the 4 door. All i need are some piston rins cos all mine are fux0red. And you cant buy parts from suzuki anymore. Does anyone know how much it will cost to make 3 sets of rings up. The lower ring is normal but the top ring actually makes up part of the crown of the piston, just to make it ultra cunty. The coupe motors wont fint nicely into the 4 doors cos the engines bays are different and the coupe has tripple side draughts and the 4door has a single down draft. Can't change carb setup cos the coupes have direct oil injection into the bores and the 4door runs the oil throught the manifold. Also want to pop a good motor in it, not an unknown condition one with headgaskets that have been used for 3 rebuilds. Got another 4 door with rust in firewall. Once ive done the coupe and finished my other car ill start on a 4 door. Pimp it out hard. LOW AS, whitewalls, 2-tone paint. Tints. itl , Look mean - showcar shit
  8. Just discovered your crown pics. Thats a seriously mean car!!. Looks real sharp in the dark gery/gunmetal. Like the mags too!
  9. ^^ Geesh. Thats one chunk of motor. Thats so filthy
  10. 10a would be hot. They hard to come by? I think lamborghini had a rotary engined helicopter!!! http://www.millville.org/workshops_f/kess_mech/tools/1tools/vehicles.html There are a few filthy rotor bikes. Suzuki re5 is filth:
  11. Filthy van yo. Be a mean project LOVE that air vent for the feet. So oldschool
  12. Love that engine bay. Nice mags/ride height
  13. Think the busa's are 175 standard. WELL over 200 turboed = NUTS! if i would do a bike engine id do a triumph 955 tripple. 153hp. one of the coolest sounding bike motors ever IMO. Cheaper to do a rotor tho. Isnt there a problem with fwd box drive shafts, and the exhaust ports of a rotor? Itd be mean to make a single rotor engine out of half a 13b. would that work?
  14. Is there a FWD box that can easily be adapted to a rotor?
  15. Keen. Gotta finish my other cars first. then its time for a repower. Im thinkin rota, cliche but it would fit nicely provided i could mate it to a FWD box. Make it do mean skids. Bike engine gets a bit difficult. Reverse, diff etc. Any suggestions on how i could do a bike engine? Thinkin bout starter motor reverse. But that wouldnt like welly hills. Engine repower would make this the ultimate sleeper
  16. Love the triumph! I reckon that these are very underated. Thats a filthy colour, you need to go crusing in a tweed jacket and cheesecutter, chords even. Straight out of the 70's
  17. ^^ They are a hoot to drive. Its all about conservation of momentum. You have to think about whats ahead all the time. Keep it in the powerband. Bout 6500rpm. If you know there is a bit of a hill coming up you gotta go nuts through the corner or else you drop out of the powerband and have to drop down a gear. 1st >15, 2nd > 40, 3rd > 70, 4th>115 (speeds when its in powerband) When i say hill i mean any slight incline. Ther ups and downs of the wellington motorway give +-10kph. and most roads in wellington its 1st or seccond. Having ppl in the car makes a huge difference aswell. If its just me its about the same performance as my mates starlet. A passenger, (or shopping for that matter) is the difference between 3rd or seccond up some inclines. 4 ppl its 1st all the way. boosting at a steady 15kph @ 7000rpm yeyay. Pretty peppy on the flats tho
  18. Thanks for all the comments. You shall all fear the mighty fronte when its done. It stikes fear into the hearts of its enemys, as shown in one of the original ads : Filthy ad for a filthy car. Should be on the road in the not to distant future, although restorations always take longer than expected. It was meant to be done by 20th jan. But shit happens
  19. Did a bit more today. Patched the rust in the A pillar. Pretty happy with the outcome. Bit o bog and it'll be MINT After: End of the day i have both sides and the roof in newtek. Bogging next. The roofs gonna be fun Its got the worst case of haemaroids ever. Its like someone jumped on it and the previous owner poked it back out with a broom handle or something. the photo makes it look good. It is really TERRIBLE!! Heres a pic of my bad boy 4 door, Served me well: It has 2 part steel wheels. a 1" and a 2.5" put 2 2.5" together and had 5 inch with nice dish. Although the drum brakes make up the center of the wheels so nice set of mags couldnt be done. The coupe on the other hand has disc brakes and studs. (same pattern as charade i think) so i can definately roll on some bogan tridents
  20. I would run it on that castrol R shit that the race bikes use. That smells SO good. I think its got caster oil in it. Smells like thos glo engine RC cars. But the oil doesnt burn under normal use. So it gums up the motor unless u stip and soak it in solvents every 2 weeks or so. I use shell advance VSX2. It smells pretty good. Really sweet/rich smell. The smell is one of the features of these cars. I would run it on the most ferral, smoky, carbon deposity oil i could find, but if the motor dies thats it. expensive repower. So i have to treat it as if its made of glass. When i have it on the road i will probably run shell in the oil tank and premix with some nasty 2-stroke oil in the petrol tank. Get that lovely blue-smoke trail. And that eye watering sting. without being mean to the bearings/bores
  21. Thanks, I really dont like those square headlights. Quad rounds will be mean. First performance thing i plane to do is build up a set of tripple spannies for it. Suzuki got 56bhp out of the 360 back in the 70s for their "sports kit". I rekon an outboard motor repower would be the shit. Wack in a 250hp 3L v8 2-stroke. Mate it up to some meaty FWD box and it should go nuts, reverse and all, and you'd still get that 2-stoke smell/sound. Dreams are free. The humble 360 will be plant of choice for the time being. They do rev hard and sound wicked. Although, they dont like hills
  22. Gidday all, This is my first time posting on any type of forum. Ive been visiting the oldschool forums for the last couple of months and i must say, there are some pretty awesome rides on here. This is my baby: 360cc of ground ripping power. Putting out a massive 37bhp at 6500rpm. Happily revs to 11k +. Driving one is like driving a chainsaw/sewing machine. It hums, really screams when you give it nuts. but doesnt feel like anything else iv ever driven. And when you stop at the lights that lovely sweet 2-stroke smell wofts past the window. Last year i used to roll round welly in a multi coloured 4door version until it started running rough. I ripped the head off to find the crown falling off one of the pistons. And i didnt have any spare pistons so that has gone into storage. I bought this coupe with another 2 coupes from whangerei. Shipped them all the way down to welly. This was the best one, but was pretty shit. There isn't one straight panel on it, it had no brakes and had some pretty nasty rust in the floor. Got the rust in the floor done and was gonna get a wof but the people at ABC in welly "couldnt find seals for the master cyl" It just lay in the carport for a few months. I decided to do a bare metal in december: Theyre an absoloute joy to work on. So simple took 2 days to completly strip it: The lovely litle tripple 2-stroke. This is the sports coupe so it has tripple 22mm carbs. My 4 door fronte only had 1 22mm carb. The whole unit. Engine gearbox and exhaust system, all held in with 6 bolts: Someone had undersealed the "boot" in the front. I scraped this off to find some chronic rust: Once the shell was stripped it was off to the sand blaster. They said bring it in and we'll give you a quote. Took the car in and they wanted 1200 bux not including the doors, guards, bonnet or boot. Fuck that! 3M grinding disks it is. Spent all janurary grinding all the paint off and finding more & more rust. I cut it all out and made templates out of card. Waiting for some sheet metal shears to arrive off trademe so i can cut the sheet metal. Its a bit thick to cut with snips. Put some n00btek corrosion primer on some of the bare metal. This pic gives some extent of the rust i had to cut out in the front, it was all double skinned and shit: Theres also plenty of rust around the back window too that i have cut out and need to make up some patches. Tacked in one patch (made from an old letterbox) for the front window today. Quite happy with how it turned out. Never done any fabrication before: Sorry for the shitty pic but im useless. Well thats what been done up until today. Should have it all newteked by end of tomorrow. I hope someone finds this interesting. I will post my progress as i go. Aiming to have it done by end of feb (not that unrealistic i think) so i can have a gangsta car in welly for uni. Got some mean 12" tridents to sack it on too. Once i have it wofed and reged i plan to make a quad headlight front cos i think the current front is fugly IMO.
