  2. ....e....u Nah 18R-G Twin Sidies - Sounds mean. Do it al
  3. Your number plate has to be below your lights and no higher than 1 metre off the ground or something along those lines
  4. I always thought minilites and super lights are basically the same where the spokes are pretty much 90deg bends. only difference being minilights having round spokes and the superlights have the edged type spokes. Wat's usually have 'L' shaped spokes.
  5. Well it blew the headgasket so I hastily sold it, Still have the 15's. Might sell em if anyone here is keen. Moving on: http://forums.toyspeed.org.nz/viewtopic.php?t=56349&highlight=
  6. I have an 18rg i'm looking to sell... Cool ute, never seen one in person before.
  7. Don't question it, just pretend it never happened
  8. tater truck haha. anyone else watch fast ashleys?
  9. Probs can't make it, will have just driven back from auckland.
  10. How much would you want for the beast? I'm dead keen! My mate picked up one of these with the woodgrain bum and everything, Was pretty rough, bought it for the gearbox.
  11. Yeah the windscreen trim went flying as i was on the expressway out of auckland. almost lost the pillar piece too(good catch). Yes its ugly.
  12. Hey thanks for the positive comments guys, The car is pretty sweet, just got the ownership papers and I'm the 3rd owner and the previous two was the same family. I have got the 1ggte and W55 all sorted out, The motor is missing a few bits and pieces and the turbos are just sitting on the manifold. It looks like I'm gonna have to go big single turbo though because of steering box issues but I could be wrong. Does anyone in welly know someone with a GA70 supra I can go for a ride in? I want to know how they go. Also I'm keen to buy a complete GA6* celica xx. So if anyone knows of one let me know
  13. Went last year, lots of skanky car bitches. So yes I am going again this year
  14. Pies I think you should buy the 18RG off've me. do it!
  15. Well finally decided to go oldschool after my mate having a couple of nice examples of 70's/80's cool Toyotas I decided to buy one of my own. I've always favoured Toyotas over any other make. My weapon of choice is a stock standard 1981 Celica XX/supra. Yep its a bit funny looking and isnt the prettiest car out there I must admit, but I've always been abit odd in my choice of vehicles. I have big plans (that arent necessarily gonna happen) but I'm keen to give it a shot. At the moment the Car has a M-EU engine which is a 2L straight 6, W50 manual gearbox and T series disk brake diff. I have a 1g-gte out of an 89 supra and a W55 gearbox (not w58, didnt see the point) which will hopefully make there way into the car. Other mods will be in the mix but I havent seen the car in the flesh just yet, Picking the beast up on the 17th of Feb. Pics of car - I also just won the auction for these wheels on trademe: 15x7 -2 offset Rather exciting stuff! Updates when I pick it up!
  16. make some spacers with an angled face
  17. For the valves rubbing on the calipers, surely you can get shorter ones? The GF's alloys have little stumpy metal ones, they have enkei printed on them. might save you the hassle of changing them over. I'm assuming you have flipped the centres?
  18. Atlast some hope haha. I think the M will have to go as even the owner of the vehicle is keen to see the G go in there. He personally imported it and is the only nz owner, he has told me that it really deserves a bit more power. I've been reading up on the subject and I think the 1g-gte is the best option seeing as I've got the motor incl. gearbox and loom box etc... its a gen 3 motor so its the 210hp version. I think i'd just need to do a few little bits and pieces, as to my knowledge the car is in pretty good condition. its all rather exciting, looking forward to having a car that suprises a few unsuspecting people.
  19. Well thats good, because the car is a 6 cyl 2L so fitting another shouldnt be too much of a mission. I was hoping the swap would be easy as this will be the first time i've attempted anything like this. I figured it would be a good project to start with cos its something a bit different and its all toyota stuff which i'm fairly familiar with. I'm going to get the car on the 17th so hopefully I'll have some more definates answers once i've had a good comparison of the G to the M etc...
