    BDA vs 4age

are you sure? never heard about court issues before..... they are a very very similar design, but there are differences. eg cam carrier etc, whereas 4age is one piece

    BDA vs 4age

    hey i wasnt bagging anyone
  4. actaully its fully copying the design...... full sized minilights were out very soon after 1962 they used them on 1965 mustangs for example.... the japanese dont do original.... they take other ideas and copy/refine them
  5. you try fitting spokes in a 10" rim!
  6. there's huge debates on whether watanabe's or minilites came out first, not an easy question to answer this many years later. i'd go the watanabe's myself, love the 3 piece wheels. cheers Matt id be rather suprised if the jap ones are first.... after all minilites were around in the mid 60s.....

    Pinto Timing

have you checked that all the markings are correctly marked? no backpressure = good
  8. sweet as. we all do it! i just did, by not explaining hypertutectic
  9. big missconception, pistons are semi forged or sqeeze cast or what ever you want to call it (<- over my head) technically not forged. And after they went to the big crank all rods of the same year of production were the same and cranks the same. theres the missconception there they ARE forged. semi forged = impossible you either forge something or you cast it. and the 4agze ones are forged. hypertutectic forged pistons is what they be. where the "semi forged" comes from is they arenot cold forged the slug is heated so its soft, but not molten then forged. 4age blocks arnt weak, so a bigport block is no problem unless your after 500hp when maybe some block warpage MAY happen.
  10. Mr Revhead

    help me please

sierra 2 ltr and 5 speed or 4age and 5 speed would be my pick. or lexus V8
  11. sorry mate, iv lived in a few places and been to many many more welly weather = shit, maybe places with worse, but theres far more with better! living in nelson spoiled me i think!
  12. fuck apart from the last 3 weeks it been winter since i got here!
  13. when i was in nelson, i sold my chevette hatch to a guy in levin (i think, somewhere round there) for about $450 iirc, he then shipped it over on the ferry and picked it up in welly. must have cost him about a grand all up to get it and it had no engine.
  14. who ever says the weather in welly isnt bad, is either full of shit, or has never been anywhere else. its CRAP. i moved here in march last year and it rained at least once every 48 hour period for like the first 7 months. damn near drove me fucking mental. welly is cool, but DONT move here for the weather.
  15. all V8 supercars run a live rear axle with watts link and they all run a coupla deg neg camber (not sure on exact amount)
  16. nope, they run solid rear axles. same with NZV8s, and i bet you they run neg at the rear
  17. anyone checked out how much camber the V8 supercars run?
  18. nah if you change the diff mounts they hang too low, have a think about the geometry involved. and no, short shocks wont work!
  19. nah, you need a gemini sedan you heard of john kershaw? runs the viva GT and HSR chevette google him for his website, and ask what diff and chassis mods he runs. he was very helpful when i had mine
  20. yeah, it will work, but vertical works better. a lot better. buy anyway, my opinion has been given, do some research about who and why its been done, and make up ya own mine. for me, if its good enough for AVO, VDT, TRDetc then its good enough for me
  21. its definitely worth the effort its not hard.
  22. you really want to upright the rear shocks. if using it for the street layed over would prob be ok but for motorsport... i really to suggest you upright them.
  23. you need to change the turrets for the rear shocks. the hatch has shocks that lay over, the sedan vertical
  24. go the bedford 2.3 motor!! and you will NEED a different rear end. gemini one is a good one to use, the chevette diff is weaker than my kid sister
