  2. I'm reassembling a R154 at the mo after putting in a marlin crawler thrust washer and have a question about the output shaft bearing clearance. Basically as per the photo it goes: output bearing -> spacer -> 5th gear -> center bearing -> 1st gear Now I pressed the 5th, center bearing and 1st gear on at the same time, then slipped the spacer on and pressed the output bearing on. Which cause the spacer to be locked tight, I'm 90% sure it spun on the shaft before I pulled it to bits, so i pulled it all off and pressed it all on again, using a .1mm feeler gauge between the spacer and the output bearing, so now it spins. I can't seem to find any form of spec on this clearance or if it even needs to be to a spec? It has a table for axial play, but I'm a bit confused tbh

  4. Bit of a mock up as there's a few bits left to put on, turbo is back off to rebuild it this week etc
  5. Ported, cleaned up, skimmed, valves and seats cut, valve clearances all set with new shims

  7. 5ish years ago?, my neighbor has one of them blue china WSE200 tigs and haven't heard anything bad about it yet.
  8. Had a mitech that shat itself twice before they gave me a new replacement, which also shat itself. Sold it after paying to fix it after warranty ran out. Now using an oldschool nzig transtig which is awesomly crap but works at least..
  9. Totally agree with NicT, everything you do is mint. Blue silicon ruined my last engine bay, so yuck.

  12. Nice one! If you didn't know already the XT250 shares a lot of parts incl the same engine, SR250 also has the same engine with a different carb
  13. What are the little tie things you've used at the end of the braid?

  15. Balanced rotating assembly, ARP fasteners, ACL bearings, NPR rings. Stir and enjoy ARPs are kinda overkill for the current setup, but I may one day change to forged items and a bigger turbo for shits and giggles
  16. Get a W58 if you can get one for a similar price. They have a better 5th gear ratio
  17. Just going off the comparison tests they have on youtube, I haven't actually tried any chinese ones - might be ok for a factory replacement but not sure I'd want to try on a boosted setup. Check these out Sorry to hi-jack your thread, keep up the good work sir
  18. Fuck that shit ^^ Some of those china injectors lock up at higher pressure, even I'm not that cheap lol - not worth the risk imo
