  1. yer his car + no springs would pwn mine. I cant turn the wheels, i think the flares that were going on the ke30 might need to go on the kp. Seibu did you get my pm?
  2. Discussion - //oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=11067 Picked me up 2 Toyota Starlet kp61's on Monday thanks to Blackamin. No engine, brakes, loom or springs in the good car, but the secound has everything needed. Removed the engine/raditator etc yesterday and today swapped over loom and put it in. Hopefully progress will keep up on this car and itll be on the road asap. Still need to: -connect up brakes -mount engine and connect up loom -Chuck some springs in for warrant O yer sitting on the Hotwires
  3. extend bonnet and gaurds to match for mean boso look.
  4. Cheers, i think i will just stick with the clean up then. Do you have/had a worked k engine? whats been done to it?
  5. Just some tiwn carbs, will be on the look out for webers/dellorto/solex Why is that? Your set on no head porting? what are the advantages of not porting my head?
  6. my cam profile has really wrecked the nice to drive area of things. Im going to price up getting bigger valves put in tomorrow. I really think some head porting will help.
  7. Google Helmholtz Yer i get what you mean but you cant argue a 3kb head will preform better than a 3k head
  8. I dont really agree with you there, bigport heads preform better than a non bigport head, they all have the same valve size(i think) so bigger ports are a plus obviousy and with a bigger cam more flow will be needed. I'm not going to go crazy so i loss velocity but yer. Will only really get headwork if i sell something haha
  9. Yer i figured after i asked you i look into and bigger valves they definately will be not needed for my engine expectations. I'm port it out to a little bit over 3kb heads specs and clean up the valves. I might get a small ammount of headwork done on the things that i cant do myself if the cost is >$200. ALso got the new moulded carpets (black) on monday Yesterday also purchased some new bridgestone rims for a killer price Hopefully will get flares before friday
  10. Do you reckon no locking strip in a car would be bad when i got mine out for panel and paint they kinda snapped a bit
  11. please say someone got a picture of the 73 monaro didnt have the best condition but was nice anyway.
  12. Ah true, do you got experience with this? Would still like to do a small amount just for future use. What would it cost to get bigger valves put in and the small headwork done there that will allow them to sit
  13. Painter won’t be able to do it for a month so ill guess i have to wait but gives me time to get it flares on and interior done. Took dash off to paint it/install alarm easier. It Will be cunt to get back on i think. Bought me worked 4k block , lumpy cam, rebored, lightened flywheel, new heavy duty clutch, new water pump, oil pump etc.. Was to cheap to pass up but am now thinking i cant just put a standard head on so looks like ill be buying a die grinder and doing some porting/polishing. Also got center console, new guard, chrome window sill trims and other random accessories Am also waiting on wheels even though i have been told there not real 2 piece and cant be flipped im going to try. If true, TradeMe I think. engine http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 1Small.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 3Small.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 2Small.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 4Small.jpg and random pics from night, flash is surprisingly good

    Buying Tyres

When you ring say your going to find prices from other places and bargain them, they go down quite a bit

  19. My car isn't a track car so good for everyday use + looks aight. Monza make gear knobs too
  20. Yer defo leaning towards the orange, probably buy paint this week. The tach, just bought it seemy cheap, cost as much as a 2" one so might as well. And the rx... sold it yesterday clutch was pretty taosted too...
  21. Update!!!! Body Front and back window are out in preparation for paint. The rolla has been fully de rusted/primer/filled smooth so is ready soon for teh paint. Wheels I’ll running on Hoshino Impul G5's 14x7. Tyre wise it depends on what’s out there im after a 165-175 55 profile tyre or something close to. If centers can be flipped flares will be used to keep them inside the guard Suspension Sending away front springs/shocks/ leafs to archers in Rotorua to accommodate a 3.5" to 4" drop. My only problem is bump stops I’m thinking of just going for a 2inch leaf reset so I have the travel in the back for warrants. Or just go for full 3.5â€
