    Engine Misfires

Hey, One problem i had when i put a sports dash in my esky was, The new cable i ran off the Coil Negative was arcing behind the tacho, wich resulted in MAD missfiring and absolutly no power. Make sure that cable is only touching the right terminal behind the dash. Also with the 8mm leads. I got some from Repco (8mm silicone) they only lasted me 3 months. The heat from the exhaust manifold broke down the silicone causing them to split and have very weak spark. Wich resulted in me having the same problem your having. Check your leads for any cracks. Don

  6. yes obvious i know. but i wasnt 100% sure if it ment colder as in can withstand more heat or hotter to handle more heat. any way doest matter. I've hijacked Petes thread.
  7. Yea i read that awhile ago. very intresting article. Ok so forgive my ignorance. But if my plugs are over heating should i go to a colder plug or a hotter plug?

this should be in tech talk.
  16. my eskys been running like crap pretty much since ive done the 2l convertion. but today i bought new leads ( old ones where cracked) thought that was the problem. running a lil better but not quite right. then i was having a look at my coil and unpluged a resistor/condenser that was on the negative. it was on a metal strap on the coil mounting on the body. now she runs WAY better. wich is wierd cause on the coil it says use with resistor? not 100% sure if its a ballistor coil or not, now im worried im goin to fry my coil if it is a 6v without that resistor/condenser/balistor thing pluged in....? thanx Don

  20. super low kingies do a good job.. even if you didnt want to lower it. get standard hight kings they will be abit stiffer.
  21. yea the one piece ones are mint. the 2 piece ones ive had bad luck with.
  22. yea when u bolt up the uni joint it comes back a bit. the single piece drive shaft off an auto mk1 works 2. much better and less vibration.
