  1. giz a borrow of one turns out noone i know drives
  2. dont think its all too urgent would be sweet if you could
  3. i want a motor bike (all in bits so would fit in a boot) - no engine so dont worry about oil leaks to be picked up until i can organise freight anyone able to help?
  4. so today i have linished all the surfaces relating to the intake and exhaust - made gaskets for all mounted carbs and exhaust finalised choke linkages made up throttle spindle linkages - need to spend a bit more time on these before im happy with their functionality attempted to start it -flat battery (from jumping the bike) and unable to use the starting handle as i have removed its guide - zowell will have to wait a bit longer to try them out
  5. it controls the richness will bog out and shit
  6. dammit kyteler im all engine bay conscious now
  7. yea, want to do a good job of it - so itl be an engine and shock out job also am building a tickled engine to go in. So made sense to me to leave it (and just never open the bonnet) . Planning on tidying all the wires rebuilding and polishing suspension etc. - really it looks alright when its not covered in crap, so maybe a quick steam clean for now
  8. morris needs alot of things - tis the bike that does it after blowing the exhaust guts out halfway to cambridge concur on the drain hole
  9. yea thats when it happens as for diff oil - its probably the original stuff try some new stuff and see what happens
  10. its not the exhaust rubbing on the diff? backfiring is probably due to no exhaust baffles - or at least thats my problem
  11. i was figuring holes in airbox = spray up from under car and into filter
  12. manifolds are now made. Just wanting a final clean up, finishing of the flange faces and a coat of something petrol proof spent a bit of time today modifying the backing plates of the filters (off an old jag, so didnt exactly bolt right up to 1 1/8th carbs). So thats done and while i was at it i made up all new gaskets for the carbs. so here is what i am left with today (mounted on a manifold i wont be using) looking pretty good if you ask me (minus the greasy fingerprints that is)
  13. if you have the reminants of the old one, or even know the length and what kind of ends you need, you can get one made up for $60-$80
  14. so got sick of working on the morrie today. so tried something different. Made up my carb manifolds (well 1 and a half as i must have put 1 of the flanges somewhere where i would remember it ). will be using these filters rather than the previously shown ones perhaps not as much flow through these, but they are more period looking and gives me better clearance to the passengers shock
  15. if you check out http://www.garagejournal.com they have quite a few ideas for soundproof compressor enclosures
  16. na i get ya i was replying to nolancer

  18. i can see this being a journey of expansive proportions
  19. factory body tolerances are within 1.25 inches waste of time getting replacement doors as the b pillars are fitted to the orginal ones used yea looks pretty uninspiring atm - just put some trim/chrome back on and its looking good
