  1. yes u can turbo a bluetop. but as the map sensor cant read boost u can only run low boost and have to retard the static timing, but like corrupt sed go 4agze factory pistons can handle about 20psi stock ecu can read up to 1 bar of boost. a guy on toyspeed who now has a 330kw levin, had a stock gze engien and ecu with a extra injecotor controller to fuel the 18psi and ran a 12sec 1/4mile in a fwd levin it put down about 200kw atw
  2. yeh im in the same boat except have 215s all round and will have 8in tridents on the back, panelbeater told me $150 a guard i thought it was a bit to much so asked a couple mates and one guys knows a dude that can do them for $40 opps i meant 40 a guard
  3. o rite must depend on certifier because about a month ago a workshop in henderson was offering free mta checks on modded vehicles and i asked them about getting cert for suspension and turbo and they said to make sure eveything else is up to wof conditions as well and that it was just a really tough wof

  5. Not that I have heard of. Not too sure however. yeh it is a very common thing to happen to the 1600 but between 2 and 3 chambers, they still run fine tho, thats wat my mechanic sed, and hes the shiz for oldskool questions especially fords when hes not drunk aye corrupt

  9. Why are you putting silvertop rods in it? Black top and Silvertop rods should be the same... If you wanna put a 4age in an eskie it doesnt matter how much work it takes coz youd want a 4age eskie. If you just want a 4age, buy a car with one standard . the blacktop rods are weaker than slivertop and the others 4ages yeh i already have a factory 4age AE82 fxgt and im puttin the blacktop in cuz it came from my other ae82
  10. bro that thing is mean, i want to go that low but driveway wont allow it i assume the rear has resets but whats the front iv got some cobra supalows im goin to use and get the leaves reset 2.5in and then some 1.5 in blocks so can change the height with out much hassle

  16. cheers guys yeh i know the fuel bit is piss easy but its the wiring up of the ecu and other little fiddly bits that are makeing me think sidies
  17. yes i realise they have quad throttle bodies but theres a lot more work involved in converting the esky to run efi my mechainc has called in a few favours and has got cheaper prices than that umm isnt this wat this forum is for
  18. well its all ready got a 1600 kent from a mk2 tina sport, but i want the reliability of a newer toyota motor but oldskool looks, and i got the levin running gear for 500 buks, but im selling parts from the donor car so the motor is gona b a freebie basically
  19. ok was gona drop it in my ae82 cuz thought the bluetop was rooted but was jus a blockd pressure pipe so now hav a 20v blacktop 4age and thought hey y not drop it in the panelvan, so now jus gotta source i think a T50 gb, im thnking of using the 4.4 diff thats already in there( i only care bout mean acceleration screw top end) or how hard to find and fit a hilux diff, arent they lsd im gona ditch hte injection system so dnt hav to change fuel pump etc and jus gona run some siddies get some race cams for a nice lumpy idle and that shud b all of my money gone

  21. on the lvv cert page all that is said about wheels is that cant stick out past body and tyre size can not hav more than 5% increase in rollin circumferance
  22. Doesn't work, you are not allowed to change from the wheels your car is certed with without paying out to get the car re-certed. Cars have been stickered for this by the cops. Callum wat how many ppl do u c in done up cars running around on factory rims so y wud cops pink/green sticker cars but im not sure on the cert tho
