  2. Fucking Mod Nazis.... haha Well its almost done, and I'm fucking stoked. I'm finding it amazing that I cant really think of anything else I want to do to it, usually projects never finish but with the exception of lowering it further I will leave it pretty much as is. Its definately not mint but I've bought and built the entire thing for less than the price of half of you guy's ICE installs... I still have to: Replace front balljoints Put wipers and windscreen chrome on Rear quarter reflectors Chrome skirting sills on the RHS Tint rear windows and boot, reassemble boot. Put all windows back Door cards and seats Put dumpy on. Then SORTED. Some shit pics...
  3. Update: Its painted, turned out pretty fucking red and glossy, not a great paintjob but I'm still stoked with it, did sills and shuts as well. JVC headunit is in, MP3 etc seems good value for money, got my 6"s in the back and I've still gotta hunt down some for component speakers and a sub and amp. Still gotta tint my back boot side windows but that'l happen in due course, I've decided to go with the bumper and as per MESDUP's suggestion I've cut and shut an inch out of the bumper irons to bring it closer to the body and done away with the front bumper apron thing. Still havent put my dumpy on but I've polished all my chrome trim ready to stick back on when the paints a bit harder in a few days time. I'm starting to try and sort out the interior which is going to be a mission as there is a shitload of trim pieces and I hate those little plastic clips but I'll get there. May actually put my levin seats in after all Went and spent up on motor maintainence shit at repco too, gotta hunt down some steering ball joints which I fear is going to be a cunt of a job... Anyways I dont have a camera at the moment so I've only got one pic off my sisters shitty nokia, doesn't really display the paints "fuck-off-brightness" factor though. Chur.

  5. Hey, this is a long shot but from your first photo, do you work at the classic car resto place in lower hutt? Next to the train yards? Think Andrew Fox runs the show? or am I crazy? If not go check it out anyway, Andrews a good guy and theres always interesting shit in there.

  7. Got paint, cant be fucked with photos but lets just say I couldnt help but giggle at how bright it looked in the can when he brought it out. Gonna paint it within the next few days I hope, tis all prepped and washed ready for it. Got a new headunit as well so project will be almost completed in the next week or so!
  8. West side. An update for the countless few of you out there who care... Car completely stripped barr dash, body all ready to paint on the outside. Front guards pumped out by half an inch on both sides, rears flared out about an inch or so and about an inch lower. Front springs cut to edge of captivity, 2 inch blocks in the back with extra long Ubolts ofr after I've gotten a WOF. front will come down more too with rx7 or shortened struts when I get around to it. nardi woodgrain wheel on and 30% tints on windows south of the front seats. Pioneer 6"s in back, putting pioneer 6"s in front doors and subwoofer in boot. Gotta get a headunit. Polished up my spitties and have put whitewall flappers on them, look cool on low-pros. All I've gotta do its go get some dolphin glaze to fill a few pin holes and go buy my primer and paint. I've been amazed at the state of the car when I've been stripping things out. Absolutely mint.

Was riding behind a VR4 in full boyracer trim (exhaust was loud as over my bike and through my helmet) flying down the one was system cutting lanes and boosting etc. Lined up at the lights against a standard looking old pug and went for a launch and the pug launched too absolutely killed it out of the blue, was fucking awesome

  12. Its atleast .5 to an inch lower than it was in that pic, the rear flares sit an inch lower over the wheel as well and that shot shows the unflared side. But nah probably reset the leaves at some point too, gotta sort out the problem with my rear axle being off centre first though. Havent touched the front yet.

  14. Some new toys arrived. extractors which are pretty shit condition, luckily I am currently flexing the daughter of a private sandblaster so shall tee up some cheap blasting on them. Clarion 6x9's Nardi woodgrain steering wheel Getting rx3 crossie for the ute and the guy whos gonna build my motors out looking for a 13b block for it. Excitement shall follow. Shall grab some pics some time.

  18. If I fit s1 or similar struts to the front of my 929 I'll get positive camber, Is this going to be significant and will I need adjustable camber plates to fix it?
  19. Nah best thing I've ever found is just those little plastic faber-castell or similar felt tip pen lids, The wee white caps from the little colourful felt pens that all little kids seem to have. Work a charm and you can block anything from about 6mm tubing up to 8mm tubing.

  21. I'm not a coon or a fucking queer you fucking queer coons. I'm not painting any chrome, I'm painting the silver plastic grill black not the chrome surrounds. I've straightened the bumper but also made up a panel to fit the front, I just wanna see what it looks like. I'll get pics when I can, work comp changes everything to .Bmp for some reason and they all go tiny.
  22. Lowering blocks in, Its looking pretty sacked at the back and pretty rancid at the front... Gotta go get some brackets welded on my mint new dumpy which has arrived along with my 30% tints. 2inch extractors for the 1800 are still yet to come. Pulled seats out and found an amazing array of shit including heaps of late 70's canadian coins... As seats are mint I might just spray the brown vinyl black and keep my levin seats for the mazda 1000 ute I bought off Bandit/Mutiny/Sam. I wish I knew how to change my username. One flare is done and looks good, about an inch further out and an inch lower than standard. Gotta track down another headunit when I get some more cash so I can get into my sounds etc. Just weighing up front suspension and brake options now. So yeah, no one probably read this, back to masturbating wildly over child pornography/ work.

It has had a bit of a knock at the back but all the shackles and brackets are in alignment, The guard is not the issue, I've taken all the bog out of it and done it properly and I was measuring the wheel offset from a different bodyline that wouldnt have been affected. Its just a mystery really, I've spent hours looking at it and measuring things.
