  1. I live on the hills, maungaraki to be exact. Mint up here. I used to live at seaview end of Waiwhetu which was ok but still got broken into twice. Hills is pretty much family life bro, can't go wrong (towards top of hills u get wind tho) Petone is aight apart from the 1/4 from cuba and Jackson towards top of esplanade. Alice town is nice and central and will prob suit you the best. The parrot and jigga is the only worth while drinking hole in Hutt. It's easy to get to from alice town or hills (koroKoro maungaraki normandale turahaunga belmont) If u wanna buy I'm selling a 4bed with 100 m2 workshop and heaps off street and storage st the mo. It's in Belmont tiny bit over 450 largies to own. Gaz
  2. I think Gemini is different but worth a check. Euron8 will prob be able to tell ya if same as Gem. Sedan petrol filler is the same also so shouldn't be too hard to get second hand. If ya find some of the window clips and are going to import Im in for a set too please. Gaz
  3. Tyres lookn good. Sweater... so good, I was tempted to get one too for gags
  4. Subframe irs conversion would be fukn awsome. Not this time round but Def something I want to do one day to something. Those struts n diff are a bit of a rip. I want to keep my rx2 struts as they have new shocks and are adjustable height. Hubs looking hopefull. Bearing inner is in roughly correct position and the outer bearing fits stub. Inner bearings needs machining out 1.5 mm then I have another bearing to fit. Offset is 2 mm differant. Need to look at disc options now to fit under 14s.
  5. Oh yeah and been trying so hard to steer away from that Supercharger setup for a rotary on TM (think its your old one?) Gaz
  6. Haha I've been a bit slack working on rx. I have managed to part up a whole b1600 in the last few weeks and a bit of work on my second garage Im building ATM... this means minimal work to Rx though. I do have sill chrome now direct from Aus..... Sedan is longer than Coupe.. doh! At least I can cut it down, eaiser than making it longer! Actually I have been doing stuff but its been boring stuff... Ive mounted BMW discs and Wilwood caliper to strut and dummied up wheel.... but now decided to slightly change direction and am currently looking at trailer hubs to modify to use as the hub (lol yeah trojan trailer hubs whoop whoop). Reason for this is it will be the cheapest way to change stud pattern to 4x114.3 and the trojan hub is surprisingly similar to the std Mazda hub! Also double, tripled, quadruple checked my diff measurmeents and ready to get it cut up when I have a little more doe. Gaz
  7. I think there is a requirement to have it shielded if under body or engine bay. Check requirements on LTSA website. I have a small pump from my b1600 if you were looking for something second hand of a standard nature rather than aftermarket. Gaz
  8. Depends where you put it in car really and what you want. It needs to be switched from ignition or a switch (depending on what you want). And then it needs a feed from battery.
  9. 195 45 14 Toyo T1rs on 14x7s. Look good. Also dummied up front brake conversion and wilwoods. Looks good. Need 15mm spacer/adaptor to work which I knew so hopefully wheels fit in guards still. Anyone want to potentially swap a pair of 14x6.5 SSR starsharks for a set of 14x5.5 or maybe 6. I need a diff offset to the 6.5s I have. Gaz
  10. Perfect Ill get some of them pads. Im using 3m purple stipper discs to strip paint to bare steel but anywhere it doesn't get into its taking ages with 180gritt paper. I dont want to go any rougher and scratch steel too much. I tried Turgo strip but that stuffs good for fuck all. Engine bay is where I cant get into heaps of places, any tips? Gaz
  11. Cheers bro. Wat about if steel is not able to be cleaned to shinny bare? Wonder if debur actually do a rust converter for under there epoxy prime.
  12. Hey painters few questions. 1. Bare metal how long can it sit inside before epoxy primer applied?? Hours, days? 2. Do I rust kill prior to epoxy? Crc rust converter is what I have. 3. Will it stick to a small amount of underseal or need that metal clean as new. Thanks.
  13. Gotta cut engine stand and extend it and at same time straighten up the post. Took an hour each stand and cost 200 all up.. I already had steel tho. Gaz
  14. Car rotisserie makes things so much easier... but stripping under seal still sucks!
  15. Engine stand turning into car rotisserie. So far so good.
  16. Yeah was lookn at that aspect last night. Don't want to prematurely cut out tunnel but looks like it might hit.
  17. Vin + cert Ken McAdam 17 - 21 Rutherford Street Lower Hutt Wellington 04 570 6039
  18. Talked to cert man and he is happy with the above. Slightly diff topic .. he would like to see the link bar hanging on double sheer rather than single though so Ill have to fab up a new bracket, might moving link bats in 50mm I think. Gaz
  19. Maybe I should run this past whomever is going to do my cert... which I have no local knowledge off. Gaz
  20. Price from Bateman for the above is: Cost is $195per shell, with $40ea for polishing & $30 per shell for cutting off the old ones. Total = $920 Gaz
  21. Yeah there is, these ones are to be legal as with the diff shortened it wont fit other wheels (no spare for lyfe). The way I read it is that your offset can be as much as 20% of total width of rim. The wheel offset on a wheel fitted to a low volume vehicle, other than a vehicle specified in 2.2(9), measured from hub flange to wheel width centre-line, including any spacers or adaptors if fitted, must be [see diagram 2.2(]: (a) in the case of a front-engined, rear-drive vehicle, no more than 20% of the total wheel width positive or negative; and It also says this tho... and because I have heavier duty diff/axles/bearings/studs (hilux) Id be in the clear. in the case of an offset outside of the requirements specified in 2.2((a) or (, either: (i) the axle and hub components used are from a vehicle which is substantially heavier than the vehicle to which the suspension and axle componentry is now fitted; or So if my calcs are correct that means that I'm allowed a +-52 offset wheel. Ill be running -60 so slightly out but Ill fit into the second clause in the cert guide. That was my thinking, I think im right??? Gaz
  22. Hi matt. I've heard both good and bad things about Bateman so hopefully get a good dealing. I brought tyres from local toyo dealer. I rung toyo warehouse first to check availability. Their number in phone book and they were really helpfull. If they make the profile your after they will know. Gaz
