Have a couple of photos you might be keen to see callum. saw an AE80 Hatch cut up into a ute the other night. took photos (was at night so arent that good) but im sure you could be interested. when i get my computer working again ill get them online for you.

She has pleanty of big spots which will need many a sheet of metal added. will have to strip it back and take it in. just wanted to do some smaller shit myself seeing as im bored all the time/cheap cunt dont want to pay someone else to do it

Painted the back bumper of my car today, was pretty stoked with the results, will try do the front on monday. Basically ruffed it up with some 80 grit. cleaned with wax and grease remover. sprayed on some of shit plastic adhesive shit which makes it stick better, primered then painted. it haad aa few drips (was a spray can job) but came out looking pretty sweet i feel. Ive got a few small rust spots around the hatch and in the door area i want to see to. any one got any reccomendatins on a easy way to get at it, if/what rust killer i should use, bog etc.

i guess its a bluetop/redtop tvis? like bistro said, get all the ZE internals. they would be stronger anyway. most people tend to turbo the later model redtop small ports or 20v's so i guess this is why the ZE pistons wont fit. i wouldnt skimp on them tho. stock 4age ones or directreplacements wouldnt take much punishment, of course if your on low boost its all good tho.

Would 4AGZE pistons not do the job? or do you want lower CR? Most Aftermarket 4AGE parts are expensive... cheaper to get OEM ones. And if its done 300k id be redoing internals. they wouldnt last long if they are under boost.

which wheels you talking about? the g-zero's or the mini-lites? it has mini-lites on at the moment the chromes were on it before i brought it I dig minilites. ment the chromes.

As a Rule Datsun > Ford. However id say its pretty close. 1600's are common as, dont see as many cortinas. I think id go for the cortina with a nice Zetec.

Why are you putting silvertop rods in it? Black top and Silvertop rods should be the same... If you wanna put a 4age in an eskie it doesnt matter how much work it takes coz youd want a 4age eskie. If you just want a 4age, buy a car with one standard All RWD 4age parts are out of AE86's. With the exception of a few things... And as mentioned earlier, thanks to intial d they are all insanely expensive. Thinking of selling me AE85 coz i cant be fucked paying 750 bucks for a freaking T50 or 500 for a goddamn FWD bluetop. not true. there's rwd carinas, celicas, coronas and corollas etc etc etc in 4age RWD config. ae86 wasnt the only rwd 4age that ran the same shit. quite a broad range, can't be bothered thinking of more. anywho, blacktop rods are hugely different to silvertop. silvertop and 4agze are the same. don't think the 20v got the steel crank that the gze got though, nor the coated (not forged, nor 'semi forged' - impossible, as most n00bs say) no point putting it all in an escort methinks. without going whole hog. its a big job, then you're left with something oddball really. best to do it to a dx as stated previous, at least all parts are off the shelf, essentially. As far as im aware the only corolla to come with the 4age in RWD was the AE86 Chasis. Never seen 4age carina's. Celicas yes but they arent very common... Ditto for Coronas.
