  1. im guessing your the one who got the paddock basher with the 4g63t in it.I forgot all about that damn auction (me=lancerex2000) I think they only way you can find out what pistons they run is to actually take them out, but i think the GSR ran the Ts pistons. i think the injector is 850cc? ive got that in my head for some reason. Power is about 170hp at 6psi i think. whats the motor like?
  2. yeah thats mitsi for ya. Somtimes its for the good, others for the bad.i never new the l200 was a wide block.Im sure the sigma gbox and the l200 are the same apart from the shifter housing. But then again, who really knows
  3. meh wide tyres on skinny rims is ass Had 245s on my falcon with 7" rims and it was arse.Went to a 215 and it was hell better. i recon "extreme" stretch fit is gay,but abit of stretch looks mean ass
  4. get a real big hammer and hit the shit outa it. If that dotn work then use a bigger hammer. Nah. You can get the sump off if you choke the motor up.Have to undo the engine mounts and then get a peice off wood behind the sump on that flat sorta peice infront of the gearbox bell housing, then use a trolly jack to jack it up. Ive never actually taken the sump off b4 without the motor actually being out of the car, but this is how the manuel says you can do it. Im presuming your car is a RWD galant/sigma. Good luck
  5. yeah go the old skool deep dish Im wanting 5" worth of dish.NO LESS Need enough dish to cook a fish
  6. easy outs suck ass.they cant get tight bolts out. i broke like 4 once trying to get a broken intake manifold bolt out
  7. its never to late! You can use the sigma gearbox and the standard lancer drive shaft, but im guessing you have already figured it out bye now roflmfao!!!! MEh
  8. ya the g/box outa the n/a sigma, l200 will bolt straight up to the 4g63t, has the same internals as the starion,1800gsr gearboxes, so it will handle the power. Its just that its got a cable clutch. Is easier if you dont want to fiddle round with seting up the hydro setup and peddle box, but if you can get a whole starion, turbo sigma then im pretty sure is would all go in easy enough. Im gonna try using the cable box first when i put the 4g63bt in and see how she handles.I know i guy who has a raceing EX lancer with a VERY worked n/a 4g63 thats putting out about 190hp and hes using the cable box and its holding up fine. Not to sure what the hp is of the 4g63bt but i think its around 170hp or somthing standard on 6psi (from memory). Its a really easy conversion to do.get the right cross members and it will all go together fine. Good luck
  9. they dont go to bad.Mines just a n/a but i can keep up with 4ages with 4 ppl in my car. Gave a galant a race 2nite and beat that, was losing traction too due to the wet road on 1st and 2nd but still beat it. Im gonna go turbo tho, im tired of this n/a shit. $g63bt with multi point, link, bigger turbo, intercooler.Thats about all im gonna do.Should go ok. Good luck finding a mint body with NO RUST!.I managed to find one but took a good year of looking around. CAm
  10. nah 1200 mounts are different. You can use either sigma cross member, lancer 1600, or starion. if you have a 4sp lancer box you will also need the egarbox cross member from a starion, sigma or 5sp lancer. You can also use the sigma gearbox on the 4g63(n/a) or the 4g63bt (turbo), benifit of this is that its a cable clutch where as the turbo sigma, lancer gsr and the starion boxes are hydrolic clutch.Apart fromt he hydro/cable clutch arrangment the gearboxes are the same. Can use the heavier pressure plate from the turbo boxes ont he cable clutch boxes too. Sigma turbo disc rear will bolt up too, but i havnt had any problams with my diff handling the power so far, but then again i havnt been rough on it at all. Are you going turbo or n/a? Good to see yet ANOTHER 2lt lancer in the pipeworks. Kool little cars, i love mine CAm
  11. why dont you try removing the ballest resistor and doing it.Mite make is easier to figure out
  12. haha, yeah the linkage.Ive stared at that for a while too.I wonder what the ozzy guys do with the 4g52 and 4g54s.they have a very simarla solex to ours and they are always sticking webers on there motors
  13. even mitsi dont know what colour thier wires are.........
  14. well if you told me that a week ago i would have brought the bits off you!! but ive just got some GSR stuff off trademe
  15. my webers sitting in the shelf int he shed as well, lol
  16. well thats about that i do at 100k as well. i didnt know that l200s had 4g52s in them, thort they all 4g63 or 4g54. The box i have now is the same as the l200 box.Same length etc, so i guess that would work fine. Mybe the reason all the guys use the starion block is so it bolts up to the starion gearbox, or the lancer 1800GSR box, as thats the conversion most of them do.
  17. well i dont know.Thats what everyone does. You sure the deisel box bolts straight up? Come to think of it i have heard somone say somthing about that b4 actually. Are they cable clutch or hydrolic? The box would bolt up fine and could just use the extention housing off a sigma or l200 box. hmmmm
  18. my lancer has the red going to the positive of the coil and a brown one with white stripe also going to the positive.Mine has no ballast resister tho, and the yellow wire is not connected to anything
  19. man lowlancer, you need to grow up.You just wish i was gay so you could get some of my well known, good lovin. I never went the DOHC coz it means alot more work, and if you do that you might as well slap a vr4 in there witch is what im gonna eventurly do. Ive found this to be an extremely easy conversion, but its taken alot of resourch and time to figure out what bits you can shoehorn in there. End result was all good tho.
  20. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/18286-ogres-1981-ex-lancer/?p=479061 So what you guys think? Ive only just really started "doing it up" Still got alot of things i want to do to it.
  21. Project Descussion : http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewto ... highlight= Well this is my 5th EX lancer.Hoping to make it the best. Did have an EX 1800gsr turbo back in the days, but blew it up and sold it for $100 not knowing how rear all the bits were (LSD etc etc). This lancer was the average old 1200cc (1273 exact) 4sp.The most commen one you can get. Cruised around for a few months like that then decided i was actually gonna do somthing about it. Engine: 4g63 (2000cc) Twin makuni 32mm downdraft carbs, Ramflo filters 2 1/4" exhaust, 2 low restriction mufflers. No tip, just mild steel 8mm leads Galant radiator Electric radiator fan High flow thermistate and lots of other little things like that...... D50 5sp gearbox. Suspention: Front ventlated GSR brakes and struts, King springs all round.KYB high pressure shocks rear.Sigma 25mm swaybar. Exterior: Mint standard paint 14" Challanger Racing Rims. Removed side trim. Interior: Stripped carpet, no back seats. Tacho, oil pressure gauge. Half good sounds.(pioneer HD, 4" front speakers, 6 1/2" rears, 12"pioneer sub, 600w fusion amp, tuned sealed box) Removed sound deadning Future mods: Sigma Turbo disc rear and diff.LSD Coby extractors Deep dish 15' rims Oil cooler EX2000 front, and two tone bumpers. Do abit of head work.
