  1. what have you done with the rear suspention as in shocks and leaves? Ive got 50mm blocks and it hits the bumps hard all the time.

  3. meh, fuck its never ending mang!!!!!!Depends how much ppl want to know. Like s13 struts and brakes bolt in, but shit, would take pages to write up, and explain so everyone can understand. Well, sigma brakes and struts bolt into an EX lancer, same with starion, but for both you have to change the bottom ball joint knuckle as EX has a three bolt bottem bit, and sigma/starion is two. EX GSR brakes bolt straight into a normal EX, obviosly. Normal EX and GSR EX brakes and struts will bolt into an LA-LB lancer, but the GSR struts have too bigger spring dia to fit in the strut towers.Welding the spring seats and fitting the springs out of the smaller EX struts or the standard LA-LB struts fixes this.Both struts will bolt into the later colt lancers/celestes etc with no modification as the have larger towers.The GSR struts give about 1'50" of negitive camber, where as standard ones are about 50" worth of positive (i think thats the right way round?) sigma turbo and starion struts should be the same as GSR EX ones, but on not 100% sure, and not sure on the camber angles.Starion should give you about another degree over what the GSR EX ones would. Only difference between LA colt struts and EX lancer struts is that the EX struts have about 20mm longer stroke in standard form. Standard EX and colt struts have a tube dia of 40mm, the GSR EX struts are 55mm.Dave from TSV was very happy when i told him that, not sure why..... Sigma turbo and starion should be the same as the GSR ones. theres heaps more crap but i cant be arsed.
  4. yeah different gearbox stud pattern........sigma,l300 radiators bolt in to EX lancers and colts etc too.Much bigger than standard 1200 one. Can use sigma engine crossmember in EX lancer, but have to use the sigma idler arm as well. Sigma antiroll bar bolts into the EX lancer, tis way bigger. dont know if you want to add about that stuff and all the bolt ins for the front brakes, struts etc too.Mite be to much.
  5. just a note that the 4sp and 5sp mounts are different wit the EX and colt lancers.Thats the hassle that im having atm with mine.Cant just slap a sigma one in there with the colts unless you can find a celeste gearbox crossmember, witch bolt in and use the same bush as the sigma.For the 5sp conversion in a colt you gotta find an l200 or 5sp lancer or colt bush. Fuk its hard to explain, ill get pics
  6. as long as they not the same as a sigma one.Need the ones that have the 2 long skinny bolts that run horizontal that hold the gearbox bush thing onto the cross member, as aposed to the sigma ones witch have the 2 short bolts that just bolt "ontop" of the crossmember, if you get what i mean.... can you take a pic?, how much for postage?
  7. l200 gearbox, or even just gearbox extention housing off the narrow bellhousing 4g63 box, and a 5sp ex lancer or 5sp l200 or colt gearbox crossmember or just the bush that bolts to the gearbox.

  9. yeah cant get that shit out. So when you gona take the pics cam? I think it needs new wheel bearings too. Will be easier to do than the EX me thinks.Im just doing it right this time, no cutting the tunnel etc. You need to keep hounding kim bout those bits mang!!!!!!!!!!!! she dont listen or reply back to me anymore lol
  10. thought that all the 8valve starion turbo engines where wideblock and that the 12valve starion turbo was narrow block, hence why ppl dont fit the starion boxes to the vr4 engines which are narrow block.....

  12. Just a note on the gearbox mount etc, there is the crossmember and there is the mount peice.the mount can be swapped over with the LA-LC crossmember, the the whole crossmember cant etc, if you get my drift.Dont know how you want to include this
  13. make sure you put a little bit of clean shock oil on the insert and inside the strut. Stops it from rusting etc and is important in struts when goin from wet type to dry type!
  14. i was gonna just get the fuel line out some parts car and us that as a return in the colt (as it dousnt have one) and i need a return for the twin carbs, i can use a return strait back in before the pump tho, but in running carbs not efi, so yeah.....
  15. its a bolt in, manuel drive shaft from any EX fits, fit an l200 extention housing to the sigma box and it lines up with the shifterhole in the tunnel. I really think there needs to be a tech article on this too, im keen to put input into it.The older colt lancers seem too be the same deal as the EX, i will be doing mine soon, so could put that in too, planning on more pics etc of the conversion this time wheres the post for tis tech article ediot?

  17. they are insert outa those front engined porsches, modded to hell to make them fit. Dont know much more than that in regards to the inserts.Was beyond me, thats why i went to a pro. Will get some pics of the struts and springs and seats etc.

  19. cheers man, ive fitted my GSR struts etc. Looking at them, you can fit the GSR brakes to the LA struts, means you dont have to put smaller spring seats on the GSR struts, but you wont get the camber etc you normally would fitting the GSR struts tho....... Im pretty sure the sigma crossmember dousnt move the engine back aye, i used to think that till i actually did it, but then again, maybe im wrong.If your gonna do a sohc then it will be fine, thats what i did, dohc then i dont know.

    kims GSR celeste didnt have anything better really, had the 4g52 single carb and a 5sp, thats bout it.........brakes are the same etc
  21. can use a sigma crossmember and all you gotta to is change the idler arm, thats what i did in my EX ages ago. there is also a model before the model that has those bolt on balljoint knuckle things and the arms end up being alittle shorter. Was also wondering if using adjustable camber plates on the top hats may get round the problam of the disc hitting. ive just finished wit my GSR EX struts in the colt, tis badass.
