  1. Are you expected to ride home too? That part would bo so gay. It'd be like the 6 1/2 hour drive home from the gathering. No-one wants to do it cos they're so rinsed, but it just has to be done.
  2. I was keen to do this, but my nifty still needs a new tyre after my drunken burnout at riverside. (I haven't ridden it since)
  3. You are a braziilain mile too far away to be expected to attend this cruise Ky. BUT, You're attendance will be MANDATORY at the labour weekend Akaroa cruise. Our Alexandrian bogan operative is planning to attend, so you really ought to convoy up with him. We have another cruise in july (I think) but the late october cruise is the one you wont want to miss. Shhhh, dont tell everyone! Thats a closely guarded club secret!
  4. There is a Datsun cruise being held in Christchurch, on sunday June 6th. We're meeting at the mount pleasant pleasant yacht club car park on Main rd, at 1pm. The route is along Main rd, and over Evans pass to lyttleton. we then drive around the bays to the Wheatsheaf tavern in teddington. After a stop for a beer, and maybe a feed we'll then be heading back up the sign of the kiwi via gebbies pass. This Cruise is open to all Datsuns, And Datsun era Nissans, including vehicles manufactured by the prince motor company. New faces are always welcome. We don't bite, so come and meet a great bunch of like minded people.

    Drag Tech

If you're gonna run a commonwhore motor, you must at least fit a pair of sc14's, with a 600cfm holley feeding each one.
  6. LD28+T. years ago my dad binned the 351 in his XD ute, and threw in an LD28. He never laid a spanner on it again. Do a plus T on one, and it'd go good too. PLus they run an electronic speedo, so rucs............
  7. Fail-lux lsds are poos. There is another mob in aussie who make these called lokka. I've thought about mabe getting one oneday.
  8. Thats a couple of pics of mine that are pretty old now. It loves drawthrough, and goes hardies. more pics, I haven't tried the nitrous yet though........................... The toyota blowers are limited to around 10-11psi max with a drawthrough set up. There's a chance of goinmg higher with water/meth injection, but efficency plummets above that level. Detonation and broken motors enuses.

    Gemini brakes

best you go one inch wider on the rear then Chris! Just think how jelous Rob would be!
  10. Oh Roberto! This car would be the bussiness in japan. Nice smooth flat roads, and a 40kph speed limit. (Which will be valvebounce in top gear with those tyres....................... )
  11. Thats me, the life of the party! We wound up at the speights ale house in ferrymead. Which it has occoured to me was kinda odd since we were two blocks from a speights ale house to begin with. With it being so damn dark now, I don't think we'll be cruising too far for the next few meets. (Although never say never) perhaps next time we should go the the cardrona? (At least they sell jugs!)
  12. This probably should go in classifieds, but I don't want someone from far away asking me to freight them. Two (2) 3 3/4" X4 steel rims, one with a wof able firestone deluxe champion cross ply tyre. Acording to Fuel, they might fit, Austin Marina Lotus Europa Lotus Elan Rover 100 Rover MGF TF Rover MGF Triumph GT6 Triumph Spitfire Triumph TR7/8 I need them gone. Someone please take them away. The crossply would be mean to do skids with.
  13. four stud Ky. Snappy quip there UJ. Had me lol-ing. If anyone wants a a pair of old as fuck steelies in this pattern, hit me up. One good Xply tyre. Free. If no bites here, I'll post in classifieds.

    3 3/4" PCD?

What kind of car rolls wheels with a 3 3/4 PCD? (Approx 95mm) I have a pair of steelies of this pattern, one with a firestone deluxe champion crossply tyre. They even have pretty small wheel studs. I need to know what they fit so I can give them away.
  15. You can fatten u;p the baseline jeting to alieviate the need for the [powervalves, but then they get even thirstier. And blown motor drink like there's no tommorrow already!
  16. I reckon rug up warm as, crank up the mp3 player, and fill a camelbak with bourbon. and ride the hell out of my scooter.
  17. flat springs=traction fail. I used to have flat leaves in my 1200, and I couldn't put any power to the ground. It was hopeless. fitted stock leaves, and better traction ensued. When I get around to it, I'm gonna roll reversed eyes. My car weighs so fuck all, and I drive it so fuck all that by the time the eyes unwind themselves, I'll be too old to drive anyway.
  18. I just learned about this http://www.scootersafari.co.nz/ It's for a good cause, but still sounds kinda fun. So far they have 87 people registered. I reckon it'd be sweet to ride in a huge pack of scooters. it's not meant to be a race, but I reckoin with a few small mods, mine could get along at a decent pace. (It certinly does good skids) Only gay part might be the ride home. Thoughts?
  19. Id use a 600CFM holley. I run a 350 cfm two barrel on my supercharged datsun. The trick with holleys though, is to externally reference the powervalve(s) when running drawthorugh.
  20. good to see a bit of interest being stirred up. The sport relies on participation. And street cars are the future of the sport in CHCH.
  21. I think Clinton said it'll take around 25 cars per meet before it can go ahead. So tell your mates to get geared up for it!
  22. The pegasus bay drag racing club are looking at holding a three meeting series over winter. No dates have been set in stone yet. They are looking at getting racers to pre enter for this series, and will not be running any of the winter meetings unless they have enough entrants to pay for the costs of holding the meeting. (In the past there have been dismal turnouts at some winter meets, and the club takes a loss.) So watch this space, or keep an eye of www.pegasusbaydrags.co.nz. Without particiapation, there is no drag racing. And with the DYO format, even eye wateringly slow cars can get good results. So the whole "oh but my cars to slow" bit is NO excuse.
  23. eating is cheating! I dont know what I'll be rolling in. We could just roll the dyers pass, wheatsheaf, gebbies pass route? They sell wedges and shit at the wheatsheaf........ I do my best.
