  1. I'll just come to a future one, should be easier/better for you chaps to do a more local one this time around.
  2. Doesn't ring any bells. Do you know which beaters? Well, KISMYN does but nothing else Oh, hang on. .. late model Minitruck B1600 in olive drab with a star on the side?
  3. If you guys are willing to go to Balclutha and my brother won't let me take the 1200 Van, I'll grab my parents ED Fairmont, for lols. Hamish will love it. Also, Dane bro, if we did Raes Junction I'd have to drive through Gore. Fuck that.
  4. Exactly, that's my point. Not far for you guys to drive, especially if you were thinking Waihola anyway. Saves me having to drive epic distances. Your call though, you're organizing it.
  5. Make it Balclutha and I'll see if I can borrow my brother's 1200 wags
  6. id like to rebuttle you normally id agree 100% but a pinto turbo is hardly worth putting money into im going to say suckthru su edit- i was trying to find a website about turbo su's and how great they are and by some sweet fluke this came up first result http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 202952.htm BUY BUY BUY! The point to factor in is that normally when people go turbo, then they want more power again, then more again, and again. You could do what RT did, try from carb turbo, to efi turbo, to custom just about everything mammoth setup that Josh ended up with after RT sold it to help pay for a tiny portion of his more power and torque V8 setup. Or you could do what zep did, try carb turbo then realize the folly and go to EFi turbo. If you know you'd be content with a carb turbo setup then go for it. But if you want something that makes for an ease of upgrade, has ability to run an intercooler, easily increase injector size, modify the timing easier. Blah blah. Sure the initial outlay of carby turbo would be cheaper but then when you decide (which you almost certainly will) that you want MOAR POWAH then the initial outlay of the EFi after all your time and effort spent pissing about with the carby turbo. Really depends what you're after in the long run I guess. I'm not sure of anyone who has built themselves up a carb turbo setup and then kept it.
  7. I would have thought though that you would only need the exh. one and you could just cut the intake runners off a stock intacke manifold and then get some alloy tubing welded on, TB's in place, plenum atop, etc.
  8. Isn't there a chap on the forums somewhere that offers profile cutting? Or am I mixing up my forums... Hmm.. No, found it; viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16883&p=384689#p384689
  9. If you're going to turbo. Just go the EFi route right off the bat. Save time and money.
  10. That would be my suggestiong too, you might have lost some teeth at the box/rack end.
  11. My guess is Federal Formoza FD1 165/45R15
  12. Easier to probably just click it on my Tribute to RR thread on retro-classics; http://retroclassics.wordpress.com/2008 ... eat-forum/ Just click the picture of his car. Oh, and love the car man, excellent work.
  13. So true. Lorn is about equal distance between me and qcadta, with the 12 having no warrant, I'm happy to let him take care of it though.
  14. Saweeet as man, just let me know when you know.
  15. Potentially. Can you find out whereabouts in Invers it is? If it's close to me I can take my S12 (no wof) and throw it in the back Alternatively if you have no luck with offers from anyone else I can borrow a trailer and car capable of towing it, from my olds. Probably a dirty Ford too, if that helps? hahaha
  16. Could you not find a park that had; "Middle-Management" or just outside an old folks home would have been more apt.
  17. If you can get the CHCH (and surrounding areas) Datsun boys to come. You'll get an idea of just how many oldschool Japanese cars roll that area. It's a sizable amount.
  18. Ok, so it would be a cruiser with punch in reserve. Imagine coasting along all cruiser styles at 65mph, stomping the loud pedal and lighting the rears
  19. a blown 427 in a tank is still a cruiser!
  20. Yarrr... the generic "muscle machines" look. Hmmm... Not convinced to be honest.. might change my mind once they're on the car though.
  21. Actually, if I was to make one suggestion. As much as I love twin pipes that dump behind the wheels, I think straight pipes that stick out 2-3" from the end of the bumper, out either side, mild steel for that almost stock look.
  22. Legend man. IMO it's 1500x cooler than the Coathanger wags.
