  1. Damn. Unfortunately the deal is the R32 calipers, so may as well stick with what I've got for now... they do work.
  2. I've been offered some R32 GTR calipers cheap. Research tells me that the rotor diameter is exactly the same as my current VT Commodore setup (296mm) but the thickness is 4mm different (GTR: 32mm, VT: 28mm). I assume the GTR 4-pots are about a million times better than the 2-pot Commo things. The question is, are my rotors too thin to use these brakes? I've heard 1-2mm is okay but 4mm might not be. Cheers
  3. Dude, it won't cost that much to get a panel and paint place to spray it. If an engine bay is like $200 then a roof can't be much more.
  4. Awesome, this may be noob as, but once I've got it in there, how do I set the "high" boost setting to sit at a particular psi? Ideally I'd like "off" (standard wastegate 10psi) and "on" (at around 20psi and no more).
  5. Awesome, cheers guys. I've got a feeling that the people who installed my ECU already put the AUX lines in, as there are a few unused plugs lying around (under the dash and in the engine bay). Can I easily test these to see if they are the right bits?
  6. I'm still kind confused as to what bits I need to pick up? I will run a two way switch (basically wastegate, and more boost). Is there a particular solenoid I need? Do I wire the switch up to the link and also the solenoid?
  7. I think the second way is how I wanna do it. High and low setting (wastegate and solenoid). Do you have the link tuned for each setting or do you just hope it knows to add more fuel and change timing a tad?
  8. The car has been tuned, but not for the new turbo and I'm anticipating a new head/cam setup in the near future, so I'm waiting for that. Might just stick with the G3 at the moment. What do I need to buy to take advantage of that?
  9. Yeah, that's my plan, to get a high and low setting. So if I'm to do this with the LEM, should I upgrade to the G4 framework?
  10. I want to get some control of the boost my car is making. The LEM G3 has the ability to run an auxilary boost controller, but I'm not sure how well this fares compared to an off the shelf Greddy type unit. Has anyone had experience with this? The LINK way would be much cheaper, but which is better? Cheers
  11. They are 165/55r15 and were $390 for the set. Apparantly the only ones left in the country though! Rims are 15x7. I've got a few things to tease out re spring height and the offset (might need a few mms spacers on the front and a about 10mm on the rear) but I'm pretty happy! Thanks for the compliments!
  12. Check out the Izuzone forums, I'm pretty sure there is good info about swapping a 4ZE1 into a Piazza.
  13. If the 195s are anything like (and they will be) the current ones I have, there is no way they will fit with the rim sitting outside the guard. The tyre is already wider than the rim. Anyway, I want to go extreme! Rears are tucked, but that might be an issue with the shocks pulling the springs down rather than the spring height. Will be able to figure it all out once I get some tyres on there. Now I just need a 165/50 and 175/50 to test the setup! Who's got some!
  14. Few pics from the test fit: The fronts are about 1-2mm outside the guards. The rears will need a 3-5mm spacer to be flush with the fronts. I see what you mean Brad about the increase in gap and stuff, look at that pic I'm not sure the rear will be low enough at this current level (although the height of the wood was not calculated in any way). Will have to take out the spacers and see what the difference is. There is a 15mm sidewall difference between 196/50 and 165/50 without taking account for the stretch inwards which will increase that even more. Between 195/50 and 175/50 it's 10mm.
  15. A present from Brad: Now to clean them up. Any suggestions on a centre colour to match the yellow of the coupe? In other news, massive thanks to Cam (.slacker) for his help in cleaning up the wiring. Managed to get rid of 4 redundant relays and some good progress towards moving some wiring under the wheel arch Cheers boy!
  16. ^ that sticker is awesome. Where is it from?
  17. Anyone with room for four rims traveling from hamilton to auckland from tomorrow or soon afterwards? Would be very choice if so! PM me.
  18. Enjoy Mono you cunts. I have to go to a birthday dinner. Have seen them twice before, Ashes in the Snow translates rather well to the live arena. Will fucking rule.
  19. Does it feel quicker after the tune? I remember driving it when Brad owned it and it was pretty rapid! Just as fast as my coupe with 3/4 the power. Must be light as!

    H4 headlight bulbs

Cool. I'll try find a set of the plus 50s and get a relay in there quick smart!
  21. One of my bulbs broke so I figure this is a good time to upgrade and install a relay to get the voltage up, etc. I now see that there are quite a few different H4 bulbs on the market in various different colours, (stated) intensities, etc. What's the go with these? Should I just rock regular ones? http://www.narva.com.au/products/browse/h4
