Yeah so us Auckland guys are not allowed.

Guess we will do out own ride in a few weeks.

We're (me & @Pee Dubs & Steve Aiken) curious about your accommodation. Not to be the vulturous bastards that swoop in on your Covid misfortunes, but what are the odds we could snap up some of what you guys were planning? We're a bit stuck for Nelson epecifically.

EDIT: And @governorsam is curious too... About Blenheim.

Thanks, I think I have a plan forming involving the ferry.

Logistics of camping shouldn't be too bad for those not flying. I've checked out the websites for where the drinking team have booked, shared tent sites should be no problem and work out super cheap.

Hanmer: Alpine Adventure Park - $32, up to 8 ppl

Blenheim: Blenheim Bridges Holiday Park - $42, up to 8 ppl

Nelson: Paradiso Backpackers - $59, up to 6 ppl  (This is a bit more expensive, but I think someone mentioned it's worth avoiding the big parks in Nelson over Summer)

Who else is keen to form a camping group?

I might be keen! Do they have cabins at these sites? My tent is the shittiest tiny tent ever...

Damn have only just seen this but sounds grouse & reckon I could make it for that weekend too.

Who’s still planning to go from the NI? @Truenotch@WankBankA100@Tumeke I have a small car trailer that could transport a few bikes across the strait and to/from Hanmer if that helps?

I’ve never done this type of ride before so a few things to sort. ‘Big block’ 400 will be kinda cheating but hopefully ok unless I can quickly find something smaller for cheap.

    Wait one please caller...

I'm heading down with a long tray single cab ute. Looks like I might be taking @Truenotch's bike down and mine, but there'll be space on the ute for another bike, maybe 2 more at a massive push. Save the trailer on ferry costs?

There will be a form, as that will give us a spreadsheet with next of kin etc (I already have most of your wives and mothers phone numbers pewhuhuhu)

I looked into the public liability aspect for the datsun club when the health and safety act was updated in 2017(?)

    Volunteer organizations are exempt.

Koha will be to cover roadside BBQ, fuel for back up vehicles, spare fuel for the back up vehicles to carry, and any other  incidentals.

Theres only really a couple more details to finalize, and a form will be out.

The north island pest had a $20 donation. I dunno if that's too much or not?

I’m only too happy to pay $20! It’s the cheapest fun you can have for $20 koha. Only thing I can think of that’s cheaper is 3 days of self pleasure.
