They're more of a group of mates - the pesting tends to be announced after they ride. I know most of them from grasskhana times - but a lot are ex-students.

Yea caught them hard at it yesterday in full denim regalia down at Garin.

  2. I think a lot of it is down to the concentration of the converter. Most of the DIY super cheap stuff is 50 % phosphoric. Don't rate it.

    media blasting is the go..

But I have been using a higher strength phosphoric and a buffing wheel on rotation. eventually you get there. Then straight on when its dry with my be loved PA10

I have no idea on panel steel but this is chassis.

  3. Just been threw the whole por15  thing.

just did my datto rails & K frame and spent a lot of time looking at the right thing to use ended up with PA10 (international) though the mix is not as good as it use to be apparently you know back in the old days..

you don't paint it on rust if you can help it. It's only as good as the prep work. It has slight acid content this aids the etching into the steel to hold it I don't think it's a rust kill per say.

Haha QCR dont ride much these days. Got the odd few member that ride as a group and when I organise ride I prefer Rural roads vs City roads for the very reason we are obscenely loud and annoying so have fun away from people and more likely to get away with it.

Mate I'm worried your at risk of being patched over. In my head I thought you guys were out at it at the local water hole once a week looking after the turf

Cool thanks I measure 55x38 on the round bush and 62x30 on the top of the steel block

sounds a lot like you might have a winner.

was the 55 measures on the rubber I tried to measure the id of the frame.

  6. Very happy with the PA10. Smell is something else but it's done exactly what it's men't to do.

chucked the frame back up gave it all a bit of grease. Engine back down on mounts.

Just waiting on the springs to come back from the sand blasting powder coating.

Bit over the top for a Friday night if i'm honest.

  8. sounds like it's all within my abilities..

I'll wait till if got the sub frame back in and give it a good crack. I'm going to have to sub a nice oven for a heat gun... needs must.

it's all been stripped and etched ..

@brocky41 the sub frame mounts look manky but they are not cracked id say they are going to go another turn. The ball joints i'm just going with the whole if it has a ripped boot i'll replace it deal. As long as the bloke who looks under it for the next WOF see's that it's kind of loved i'll be happy... Did you put the stainless muffler on the back of it ?

  9. put my hand up between chassis and frame.... felt a little bit to rust like for me to be ok with I needed to inspect....

pulled the frame not as bad as I thought it was going to be just surface rust. .... wire buff... and PA10 shal be my friend.

Might as well keep it nice and not let it go to waste in front of my very eyes.

  10. Alternators shat... meh..electronic ignition crapped out.. Make some new wires bash a new one on... still kind of missed and ginned around

fix the voltage drop issue across the key switch/wires.. put a relay in to drag a +12 across to the coil +
