  1. i just went and saw my trusty cert guy yesterday.. to cert: manual conversion coilovers wheels battery relocation etc $275... and if i add seats it goes to a level 2 cert which is $295 you guys are just getting ripped..he said prices have just gone up,but i wouldnt pay and extra $500 just in labour...

  4. how do you figure that? unless your oil is seperating in tank and its just getting oil.. the oil metering pumps can block up if the oil isnt regularly serviced causing a blockage,no oil getting through creating excessive wear on housings and seals... ive always run premix...i run a omp on my s4 at the moment but still chuck a bit of oil in the fuel for good measure..usually penrite racing stuff..

  7. as you can see i still need to trim the bottom but i have to put another layer on it as thats only one layer...but im not using that anymore as i got a full front bumper cheap..but i thought the lip looks mint...
  8. i made one on my s4 rx7,used balsa wood 100mmx2mm. taped it to the car the cut the profile/shape whatever,taped the joins and fibreglassed over it,light and strong but still flexi not to break

    Primer

    use etch primer when going to bare metal,sticks better,then apply top primer.
  10. just lip and pump the guards... if pgr are still doing the rolling up there they should be able to most it nicely without damaging the paint.... ive have most of my guards rolled without damage...
  11. couldnt be bothered reading all of this but anyway: my esky had a 4age in it.. got blue top fwd eng,had manifold t/b swapped over and loom modded to use 3 wires(nightparts or whatever did it $180),used a k50 box so i could still use the cable clutch,used a te70 driveshaft,had a spacer machined up to bolt to the diff head and the un modded driveshaft bolted straight on,used a set of rwd 4age headers,mint clearance.sump i used was from a racecar so had a rear mount bowl anyway,mounts were piece of piss from memory,mint clearance everywhere... only problem was i got a good ofer for the package so never got it running...
  12. how bout a gt starlet engine?maybe a k50/t50 box will fit aswell.. i had a 4age and k5o box in my escort,never got it finished though..fit nicely... ive lost all pics ive had of my escort...anyone got any? black mk2 coupe,had 4age,then had 2l turbo,all hpc'd..(SHIZZL)
  13. yikes...i built a pinto-turbo for under $1500.. used a sierra 205 block,chromolly rings,decompresion gaskets,custom turbo manifold,vf10 suby turbo,sierra/granada inj manifold,was gonna run a link/microtech......never got it finished though,split it up when i moved islands....

    4g? fuk that,theres a shop in ozz that sell a complete fast bag kit f.b.s.s for $2500nz delivered to your door,you just have to fab up the brackets.... cant remeber the name of it though.....do a google on aussie air bag...

  23. hey all..long time no post eh.... anyway..was thinking of getting a lada(laugh and die bitch) what engine do you think i should put in it?have you seen any other ladas with engine conversions? i like to be different.... a mate has a lada 4x4 thats been tubbed out and has a 350 chevvy for drag use...
  24. hehe,thats a pic of my old escort.... an old guy at work has a escort running a suck thru setup that hes sucsessfully run for over 20 years....only problem they had was with the carb not being able to keep up with the fuel needs,so they extended the bowl....
  25. same prob here mate....although i already had the manual conversion done....get a piece of 30mmx6mm steel,drill a hole about 13mm in the middle,and a 8mm hole each end to mount to the fire wall,now get a piece of 25mm steam pipe,cut a angle on one end so it points down when its welded over the hole on the flat piece...... or goto a wrecker and unbolt the original manual cable sleeve from the firewall...tadaaaa.... now the crossmember......i think you may have to either make one up,or see if a mk5 cortina one will work,or even a sierra one...i made one up by welding 2 plates off the sides of the manual mounts....bit rangi but itll have to do till i get a cortina/sierra xmember to see if it fits.... good luck.... driveshaft?i threw out my manual shaft that was in ine when it had the 1.3 with 4speed....bugger
