  1. if you take the head off that would be good, get it cleaned, take the sump off and have a look at the bottom end...'you may find that the oil pick up is a bit caked aswell... you shouldnt have to do the block unless its super bad...
  2. body lift = cert up to 2" suspension lift = no cert...anything more = cert... new rules same shit, more money to someone else... absolutely BS.... im gonna get a wof then lift goes in...fuck the man...
  3. milky oil is water in the oil, usually just moisture build up fgrom being cold and then warming up(condensation) the crud is coked oil crap...dont try and get rid of it unless your doing a rebuild, get it chemically cleaned. if any of that gets loosened and goes into your motor it can wear shit out pretty quick.

  5. i need muddies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. have a look through trademe, theres a few vehicles that run a low but wide radiator, like the jeep.. dont be too concerned with inlet/outlet location cos they can be changed at your local radiator specialist. if you can find anything online just pop in and see a radiator shop, theyl be able to make a new one to size..
  9. made it home in the lux...thanks to blair for looking after it for me and making up my body lift blocks.. ive got the bolts for them now so after wof itll be jack jack time.. found out what the vibration was, munted front uj on the rear shaft.. drove it all the way home though before i checked it out, better not to know i reckon... thats fixed... now ive found out that the 4x4 doesnt work, well the electrics anyway. i can put it 4x4 by swapping 2 vac lines over on the vsv's... will get a new add ecu for it, pretty sure thats toast.. drives sweet...needs sounds,or atleast i need to get an ipod.. got some 33 muds lined up for it too. will make my own snorkel and a 2.5" exhaust straight through.. took it out to a hut last night for some hunting action... need to find some mud... some how i managed to get a cr250 and a yz125 into the back of it.. gif upload

i managed to slam a 11mm ring spanner on it.. got it off.. took the whole bike apart in the end and pulled the motor out.. was a bit of effort to get the cylinder off but its in good condition, piston skirt has some marks, not sure where from though.. took the flywheel cover off,and gave it a bit of a turn with a ring spanner and it went click and started to turn over freely.. so,shes not seized at all,and the top end is mint except the piston. so ill get a new piston and top end gasket set and put it back together... went out this morning to see if the yz would start ok..... gave it 3 easy strokes on the kick start to get the comp stroke, kick and RINGA DING DING....started first pop...so stoked with that, got the idle down to a decent level and adjusted the mixture back up a bit... will take some pics today
  12. there was (or may even still be there) a toyota wrecker opposite bnt/autolign on wordsworth st.. they have a couple of SC's floating round when i was last in there..but that was in like 06...

yeah i remembered that one once i got insed...lol... just wanna get that rounded off nut off there..dammit.. not too keen to weld an old spnner to it yet though, but it may be the only way
  15. after cancelled flights(fuck you jetstar) and a huge road trip of 2500kms, i managed to get home in my newly aquired surf with no probs. the fun part was finding a way to get 2 dirt bikes in the back without the rear door opening.. yes, the rear door doesnt work...doh.. so i brought myself a 91 CR250 and a 94 YZ125... picked up the cr first, ripped the rear wheel off, and then front wheel and forks.. just manage to squeeze it through the back side door and spin it round to the side, chucked the bts in it and drove to the next bike.. hhmmmm, not quite as much room as i thought...so pulled the rear wheel off, aswell as the swing arm and mud guard. off came the front wheel, forks, and mud guard, handle bars also got the "fuck off out of the way" treatment.. just managed to get that in past the cr,crammed all the bits in there along with the spare wheel for the surf.. my hiking pack and sleeping bag etc was crammed into the front seat area, and all that was left was a spot between the front seats.. that got quickly filled with cans of monster enegry and maccas... ... a week and a bit later i got home and unpacked the tetris truck.. reassembled both bikes. the yz would start,so i put a bit of gas in through the plug hole and away she went.. shit dang doggy its quick.....scary quick...for now.. nothing need sto be done to it,but ill do piston and rings soon... the cr is siezed...locked up from sitting..so i tried to take the head off it and one of the nuts is burred over, fuck damn fuck.. not sure how to get that off now.. so the plan for that is to get the head off,and try and get the cylinder off so i can get the piston out if i can get it to free up. ive put some atf into the bore, hope itll soak in a bit...who knows... would be nice to get that one going, otherwise i might put a xr250 motor in it....or just sell it on...or swap it for a bike for the wife or something.. pics will come..when we get some sun.. choice bro
  16. havent had a single issue with ours... its cruises mint as...the mrs has a gtb wagon and ive got the surf now so dont need a 3rd wagon.. but yeah theyr actually all right, could do with more power or lighter body

  20. an extra surprising win...
  21. i think this is a coil sprung truck in the arse too by the looks of the front link box on the chassis.. big thanks to nvmyvl for looking after it for me till i get up there to pick it up.. and have got a set of lift blocks all ready to go in..just need some longer 8.8 bolts... cant wait to tear up some tracks and slay some animals
  22. cheers for that seedy....been wanting something to convert normal tyre sizes to a size in inches for 4x4 use..
  23. whys that?? high performance/revs = high themps+cast heads = cracks?? or what both have pros and cons..
  24. found these on trademe.. $180 each new...not bad SIZE: 31x10.5R15 BRAND: GT-Radial PATTERN: Adventuro A/T SPEED/LOAD RATING: 112T http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 146320.htm only a A/T but the tread blocks arent too weak for an A/T, so should be able to handle some decent dry tracks..
