Nothing really that ridiculous. Having some kind of comfort and reliability over 3 days without having a big bike is the aim. This was last years line up: In hindsight my Chaly was way too low for certain parts of the ride and I wouldn't personally bring something that low again. Looking at us from a distance, people probably thought @64vauxhall taking me 2 up was ridiculous but in all honesty that bike did extremely well and had several men nut butting on it over the course of the weekend without fail. -

Anywhere in Gisborne is fine for the first night. Not a massive town, can't really end up too far from everyone. We stayed at 2 places last year and just met up at @Raizer's in the AM. Second night: Yes on the grass at the bach I think. @HighLUX? Alternatively Te Araroa Holiday Park, 15 minutes ride away. Bach will be more awesome for socialising etc I believe. -

Put in bigger jet, attach spanny. Fill crate with beer. Drink and ride down 'closed road' till you fall off. All questions shall then be answered. Enough distance (3-4 big bots) to try lean seize it before you fall off and find out if it traps you. -

Post update is awesome, makes sense and has me audibly fizzing from the Bunghole. @Shakotom, @GuyWithAviators and I will most definitely be staying in the same place in Gisborne. Waikanae Beach Motel. They have ground floor/garden view units which have a good space out back to hide bikes. A little more than a hostel, but it's not a hostel. Seemed to be a few families etc there last year. There was another group that stayed there too. Old lady was happy as for us to keep the bikes safe out back and was most curious about what we were upto. Asked if we were part of those 'Vespa Jokers' that came a few months back. You can book now and pay on the day. All in all I've got a shiieeeet ton of things on in the 2nd half of this year so I'll be sorting this asap. Looking forward to Succelent group sharns/eats/rides/purple goannas. -

Reverse route is ridiculously exciting! Have a frame but no wheels. Might try get some on my trip next month. Was gonna bring this till Andrew stole the bloody engine. -
-
Holy damn son. This is attractive. Are you gonna try stealth the engine with the original airbox and such or just have the carb slammed out the side somewhere?
-
And yet another couple were on there for 2-3 months at less than a grand and didn't sell. Nuts this small bike market I tell ya. Earlier in the year a Chaly went for $3000 on trademe. Next day I got one for $250. Up and dowwwwwn like a seesaw.

Looks like Tolaga Bay (a short stop on the route) has been getting haaaammmmeeered by rain this long weekend. Some local mopeds stuck in the mud: -
Fuck me i’m glad you’re relatively O.K. Will get you a new helmet at cost from work man. Can’t wear that thing anymore. Those pictures are incredible btw.

Well. People tend not to reply to often on the Bike build threads. But I wanted to say you'se a top cnut. Cheers for being awesome and putting up with our ridiculous peer pressure and not cracking and killing us to death with mopeds. I aspire one day to have a collection and garage like yours. GIZ.

First things first. What a fuarkin legend @Snoozin. One night is at a bach owned by people @HighLUX knows. Prepare to camp there because all the beds (like 2.5 of them) and couches will probably be taken. Most of us will camp outside there, small tent/lean to type thing/ali express hammock. Other night is Gisborne. Last year some stayed at the YHA, some at a motel by the beach. Motel by the beach worked out to only $10 more per person and we had 4 people in the room on individual beds. Lovely lass at the front made certain we got our bikes safely around back and didn't even mind the rowdy things arriving late at night, though we keyed off and pushed them around the back. Not sure which way around it's happening but the second night will hopefully be beers and tending to 2 days of ass pain and having some sharns. Noones booked anything yet. Fizzing at the bung every time I think about this ride! -

Anyway. One of the FOAMOS prospects has either of the two bikes below for the ride, he was keen last year but other things happened. Ones a 125, ones a 150. Dudes importing the second one from family in the Philippines and as long as the shipping lines up it could be here in time. True pinoy ricer bikes. Will keep ya updated. -

WHAT A RIDE! 50 people on small bikes pesting the hell out of Auckland city. Can’t wait to do that again. Thanks @sentra and @cletus for coming. Didn’t get to say goodbye. You two are lugunds! See you all on the next one.

I was mighty impressed by this today. Pinning it up hills on a FA50 and passing much more powerful bikes is nothing to sneeze it. I love this FA!

To put it into perspective, last year a gyro broke down. We all just waited on the side of the road in spread out groups for it to get sorted. The support vehicle ended up taking it back to the start point, which was over an hour away and then came back with the spare bike and eventually caught up. By the time was all said and done we ended up at the first stop at night, instead of early arvo which meant we had to postpone the lighthouse till the next morning. We then arrived way later in gisborne the next day which meant we missed the small galavant @Raizer had planned. We learnt heaps, like if the repair will take a while or can’t be done there just chuck it on the trailer and nutts to butts till you get a chance to fix it. I guarantee some/my/a bike(s) will fuck out this year. This is just ensuring that’s to a minimum. Come hang @Seedy Al. -

GN50's actually exist btw. They're 2T though. Might have to rig up a blue smoke machine to the 125 and it'll pass for one easy.
