  1. Twinning Outer brackets are different so I had to drill 5 spot welds on each side to put the twin outer months on Just put bolts through the spot welds for the time being until I get some time to lines it all up properly. Gonna need to space the inside head light mounts as they sit in like its cross eyed. Probably use some TV wall mount bracket spacers. And of course wire it up. Thinking I might get some multi pin plugs so I can wiring them up so its one plug and wire the single ones onto a plug as well so if I decide to change back I can simple just unplug it at one point and plug the single plugs back on
  2. Funny you say that, I have actually been struggling with understeer in my practicing (yes I know it standard but it doesn't hurt) Thought a slightly wider track and better tires in the front might sort that out. That and getting the back out by shifting the weight is proving unpredictable with slow moving and large amounts of body roll. Once it's out its fine, had it in 3rd gear in the wet sweet as, just getting the rear out with out without losing momentum cause I don't have a power or grip to keep the speed up. And yeah I have been worried from what I've read about the T series stuff. Ive got access to space axels (at a cost of course) but if I break it I might just haft to bite the bullet and shell out for a hilux rear... Then I'll break the T50 and need to upgrade that haha Cross these bridges when they come
  3. None, it'll get put in once the suspension is done Can still drift sweet with the 3A still
  4. Fuel filter and drive belt done. Just need to clean the carb and set the idle a smidge higher Figured out why the AC isn't that cold.. Because there's not belt or tensionisor for it So will pull all the AC junk out witch will remove some weight. Full twin head light conversation is sitting ready to go on Sorry roman, not trying make it like yours, I just think they look miles better Have a standard diff sitting ready to be welded Possibly try find a smaller ratio CWP for it Can start on sorting springs/shocks and arms now once I find some time from working
  5. Mmm yummy Bleed the whole system, came out blackish brown, kinda like bourbon shits Used AP road and track from race brakes. It's 5.1 but apparently it's just a really good dot4. I still made sure to flush the crap out of the system to make just incase. Pulls up good now Got given a t50 22sp short shifter from a mate at work too. Didn't get time to take measurements of the springs and shocks unfortunately. Developing an oil leak, was hoping it was dizzy (dizzys down the back on a 3A) buts it looking more like a rear main seal.. Bugger ect on the list.. Drive belt Fuel filter
  6. Heya mate Yeah cheers for the replays Your correct, the flange is different so they won't bolt over so a custom bracket would need to be made Yeah I'd haft to run a bias valve witch isn't to big a deal but starting to get into being more work then I intend for this car In conclusion on the brakes topic I might have some vented disc's and calipers coming so I'll run thows and see how it goes. Gonna head to race brakes today and get some quality fluid (new some for the AW anyway) and I'll pull the pads to see if they've glazed over (they stank like f@ck when they got hot) I've got my spare aw11 complete rear hubs witch have a smallish single pot so I'll have a measure and see what they would sit like (felling early fxgt might be better suited being smaller) but with the spacers and brakets needing to be made I will most likely forget about rear disc's for the time being. Apparently heiace rear drums bolt on as an upgrade cause there a Borg rear end as well??
  7. Yeah I'm hoping to get an ae86 rear end and get the mounts changed They work good they just over heat on sets of down hill corners I'll pull the disc's off and measure up and see if I can find vented front disc and calliper that bolts straight on
  8. Nah, they were mate, I've got go pro of a local in a new model Corolla starting to lose it while he tried to set some distance on the down hills to matarangi Ah! Yeah he said he had a mate drive it up Drives and runs mint. Been well locked after. I did wonder about the dents and dings. The doors aren't original, has a electronic control for both left and right mirrors, however the doors are only fitted for a right side mirror. That and the mirrors aren't original either. God knows what their off
  9. Possibly why I was passing new cars threw the hills in Coro Would like to know some history on it if anyone who's anything at all..
  10. Posting for reference "n carina you can use ae86 castor arms. Cressida or ma61 rcas. Switching to ps steering arms quickens steering and more lock. I've got rose joints in panhard but rubber for 4 links. Traction brackets are a must. Otherwise1st and 2nd gear are useless."
  11. Yeah you can run SW ones, their 18-19mm from memory?? The manual SC AW ones are 12 or 13 mm from memory and the auto SC AW ones are 14mm I would think 30mm would be way over kill. So people think sw20 ones in the rear are over kill.
  12. I kno where one of these is that's all complete glass and everything. Motors had some head work but I don't think it been ticked over in a while. Body was pulled apart for rust work and respray that never got done. Would be a heck of a lot of work and the owner said its to far gone so might split as a parts car
  13. I agree ^ Missing a cam and a hair dryer Possably some widened steelies too Nice score with the 3L though
  14. Ah hey man! How are ya you get around to making that air box plate? Yeah that's still here, needs a bit of tidying up and finally be getting painted with the bonnet in a couple weeks. Duck bills quite heavy though for a track orientated car. I'd like to make mold and make a carbon one but the mold would need to be two piece and a bit pissing around fixing the LED high stop into the copy. I'll post up some progress once it's painted but for now I just want to get it running haha
  15. Cheers man! Much appreciated, will definitely used as reference
  16. Oh and yeah I got the G3 and everything Even the IC and pump how ever I've got I different IC ill probably use
  17. Yeah drivability is definitely a factor. Cars still retaining trim and suspension will try best the best of road/track and form I have thought about the throttle braket and did find a place in AKL with a good selection. Definitely want it to be road friendly still. Yeah I did Ben. I took screenshots of almost all of your build thread haha This is partly why what I still haven't decided on the turbo. Want good top end to smash other cars but I still want it to come on quick There's a guy in the states that ran 440hpatw with a c series box and standard BT head with a gtx2871r I'm told by a guy that builds 7a's and 9a's a 2871 is good for 280kw but that I should go to a 32. Want the car to come on quick though. Piha runs and Taupo raceway are my faves so it'll be aimed at being set up for those
