Welcome aboard.

The short answer to your question is yes as both used the BMC A series engine. You will find that gearbox and final drive ratios vary greatly between the various Mini and ADO16 models. Also the half-shaft length and wheel size including stud pattern/pcd will be different but I'm sure you will be able to find a combination that works for you just as the designers at BMC did back in the day. There is a wealth of information out there, you just have to look for it. Good luck with your project.

That's not dodgy bodgery, it's an engineered solution.

A Chinese former colleague reckoned it's near enough impossible to legally keep cars more than five years old on the road in China. Some bullshit "safety" law or something. Gotta dump them and buy another new one. Makes no sense environmentally or economically for the consumer but it would keep the factories going.

I have had to replace brake hoses for a wof on a car that was only 25 years old due to rubber perishing. If your Starlet hoses are original they might be living on borrowed time.

My pharmacist had a Type R Integra in his youth. He foolishly allowed one of his chums to drive it one night which resulted in it being written off by his insurers.
