  1. I finally listed this on Tardme and of course it decides to play up. I did a pre wof check and both seatbelts are fucked. Drivers side wont lock and the passengers wont retract. I fouund the gm part number on the passengers side belt and I can find no exact replacement. I'll give awfe etc a call next week, Failing that can anyone recommend a seatbelt barry to go to? Blead the brakes thought and they are now OK
  2. I've ordered some re003s today as they have a buy 3 get one free deal going at the moment.I'll drop my spare wheels off and get them fitted tomorrow hopefully. I'm looking forward to actually having grip! I should be able to use first gear in the wet now
  3. Nothing like basic maintaince shots. New rear pads and rotors. I got a deal on the hp+ pads for the front. The rotors are OK and just needed a skim. I'm hunting down some radius arm bushesand some early accord radius rods. Third gear still crunches at high rpm, if/when i pull the box out ill get a aftermarket lsd as the factory spec viscous one is unpredictable
  4. Master is in but i still need to bleed the brakes properly. I sorted a few little things that were annoying me today. The blower motor was making a hell of a noise and wasn't moving a lot of air. I pulled the motor out and channeled my inner Barry. Drilled out the factory rivets and pulled it apart The bottom bush was rotating and flopping around. Its held in by a clip arrangement. Pulled that all out and saw the Bush was worn at one end. I flipped the Bush and gave the fingers a tap with the hammer to tighten it all up. Lubed it all up and reassembled. Its mint now. No rattles and i actually have some airflow The other annoying thing wss the paint behind the grill was a mix of silver and white overspray. Have it a quick degrease and a squirt of black and its heaps better
  5. Yeah the wheel could do with a tidy up but that requires time and effort
  6. Picked up the wheels today. New set of Michelin s1 and a wheelbarrow spec front for eastcape Satdee im planning to dummy up the dio stem onto the melody frame and seagull it together
  7. You could try giving the injector a love tap with something to try free it up. Failing that swap number 4 injector to another cylinder and see if the miss moves. Does the whole intake have to be removed or can you just take the fuel rail off yo get at the injectors.
  8. While motorvation was actually present I had a look at the mount I got from the states. The stabilizer bracket didn't line up at all so I chopped it off. Success. It now fits. Now is the wheel even slightly centered. Double success Center stand will need to be removed but I was expecting that. Prior to removal from the dio the motor felt a bit down on power and was missing intermittently. The miss turned out to be a burnt/loose coil terminal. I ordered some more bits from @Raizer and this arrived Can't complain at the thoroughness of the packaging. He ensured nothing could move in the box and be damaged I pulled the plastics off the motor Head gasket is chooched and was leaking Whipped the barrel off and popped the piston out. Nice new piston and barrel Refer back to a photo of it being assembled here. I replaced the clutch springs and clutch bell along with the final drive oil I went to replace the variator with something that wasn't $20 from aliexpress and the sleeve it slides on is slightly thicker than the Honda one. Does anyone have a bush reamer I can borrow? The pins are too hard to try cut or butcher with my tools. I swapped the leaking forks off the zx dip for some that don't and test fitted the brakes. Another success (mostly). I just need a tiny spacer and possibly some filing of the fork I have to decide which frame I want to cut up now as the disc stem is shorter than the melody and wont fit. I've got a dio frame that it works with which I plan to weld on. I'm hoping it'll clear the melody plastics and I can use the mudguard but haven't had a look at that yet
  9. Another nifty/melody popped up on facebook complete with a black plate. One cheeky low-ball and some negotiation later Last reg in 86 I'll fire a email off to the relevant person so I can hopefully run it
  10. That they do! I thought i was being greedy getting 10 inches
  11. Just usr a relay tbh. Diodes will have small drop in voltage across them which could potentially cause charging issues
  12. Hah the thumbnail is @Threeonthetree, @Tumekeand i riding to gnats so no excuse
  13. Ill be bringing the tonner down so if anyone wants to drive it as support there is that option. Will have to figure out fuel stuffs
  14. Not s Japanese copy buy probably have a few English obes somewhere
  15. Just chuck it in dry. Should all be good to go out of the box. I only lubed stuff when reconditioning them
  16. There will be a few sadistic people bringing '50s' so should be company for the slower people
  17. Lets hope these are actually correct and fit/work. I'll find out Wednesday I guess
  18. this is about the state of my readiness. 75 50cc of punishment
  19. giz and I'll butcher fxr motor into it. 12k rpm 6speed trike sounds amazing
  20. Would meeting at a pub be a bad thing? I was thinking possibly doolans at lynfield? Close enough to motorway for you southernets and usually plenty of parking
  21. This got very oily smelling on the moving trip so i had a nosey under it. The front crank seal is doing its best prevent any rust from forming under the van. You can actually watch it leak out... We has lots of 'fun' bleeding the brakes, i thought id check all the fluids and nearly zero brake fluid which is a scary thought. Ive got a crank seal and master coming from rock to sory rhose problems
