  1. I'm sure it was his friendly and approachable demeanor. And his helpful attitude when you list something incorrectly in the For sale threads. Not that I'm throwing stones or anything, that'd be incredibly stupid given, well, me.
  2. Hello, hello, For the meet this month we will be heading out to Eastbourne (suggestion courtesy of Joe/Goat). Hopefully the weather can hold out a little longer for a couple more beach meets before winter (I know it's what you weirdos seem to enjoy). Basically follow the road till it ends, here: Map If the weather looks like it's going to be rubbish, we'll make a call closer to the time for an alternative yarn location. Discussion
  3. Does anyone have any suggestions for somewhere to go this month/next week?
  4. Heading to Kaitoke if any late leavers are keen to come along
  5. I'm not going to click on that and just be pleasantly surprised by where we end up
  6. Also keen (obviously) Ha, Ty was just saying this morning his dad wants him to go camping with him this weekend, but Ty didn't really wanna go. Well, that's unfortunate. Your options are camping, or camping.
  7. It's that time again! Now we're back from Wagnats it's back to the regularly scheduled programming. Since it's still Summer (or sorta) the Beach meets continue! We'll be heading back to Plimmerton beach in the carpark area across the road from here: https://www.google.co.nz/maps/place/62+Moana+Rd,+Plimmerton,+Porirua+5026/@-41.0731399,174.8555419,80m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x6d3f514cdc162d63:0xbcf7386dd17cb113!8m2!3d-41.0729852!4d174.8557369 For all you regulars, it's the same Plimmerton spot as the last few times we've been out there. Slightly earlier meet time of 6.30pm to make the most of the daylight hours for those who can make it out earlier. So, bring along some dinner and come have some yarns! Discussion
  8. Are you? Where are you going? Oh wait, We might have been out of town. I'm not sure my calendar goes back that far
  9. Ok. Lets lock in Saturday. Shall we meet up along the Petone Foreshore, fully stocked and ready to head out, say around 2pm?
  10. Hey, im still keen. This is my kinda weather. We can make a shelter out of vans
  11. The options are looking like Saturday = mega windy. Sunday = some rain.
  12. Yet again it looks like the South Coast is trying to thwart our plans!
  13. Super late notice, but who's keen for a pre-wagnats, 1 night wag/van/shanty town camp? I'm thinking Saturday OR Sunday night, comment with your preference, over in Wainuiomata at the Rimutaka Forest park campground. http://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/wellington-kapiti/places/rimutaka-forest-park/things-to-do/campsites/catchpool-valley-campsite/?region=wairarapa&park=952d7189-e8c2-44a0-91b3-406a67db91b7&activity=campsite#activitypanel Camp prices: $13 per adult and $6.50 per child.
  14. Let's get back in to this! We're gonna give the unforgiving South coast another go and head to Princess Bay (see map below), lets hope for the best! Beaver will bring along his BBQ so bring some snags, or shrimp if you're that way inclined, to throw on the barbie and lets look at some cars and have a chin wag. Discussion Map, somewhere in this carpark https://www.google.co.nz/maps/dir//-41.3455404,174.7903246/@-41.339889,174.7843833,3671m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!4m1!3e0
  15. I've texted one of the girls from work who is on her way up to Taupo. Will let you know if any sightings!
  16. I would be inclined to agree, if my gumboots weren't less waterproof than my chucks
  17. I'm really glad we've timed this perfectly to turn up just in time for rain. Walked home in the rain yesterday, it was lovely.
  18. Of course it is. I read this yesterday, but didn't want to make the egregious leap that you were referring to me.
