  1. Pls bring this along. Need some more Italian goodness in front of my eyeballs
  2. Those are actually Honda 50 Magnets that @mo999 got made for his one and sent a spare set to me. Just slapped over top for now. I will eventually yarn to @Archetype about some real stickers that match the age of the bike.
  3. Nice score on this. I saw the advert and was tempted but I don’t need 2. I’m just about finished building this one, same as yours; C90 Deluxe. With the form filled out correctly and some stickers it became a C50 Deluxe. They’re exactly the same frame after all, and I’ve repowered this with a 49cc* Lifan. With slightly different to stock gearing it’ll pull me up to 95kph. You’ll enjoy this project.

    .

What bike would you say is your Dream bike?
  5. Will be taking last chance pre-orders for these on the day also. Bank account or cash if preferred. Delivered mid Jan once supplier is open and printed etc.
  6. Tell your friend not to bring a GSXR1000 on a Nifty 50 plate and he’ll be sweet. Basically if looks like a moped and has a number plate come hang.
  7. Definitely won’t upset me. I’ll be jealous of the fuel economy tbh. If it’s the 155z one I’ll also be jealous of the cubes.
  8. Also done the cutting shaft / thread etc. Didn't consider it being hardened just sent a die down it haha. Works well, need to do it to my Yamaha now. It has the massive droop from just cut springs - so many fingers caught under the guard when lifting the bike onto the trailer haha.
  9. Pull start lifan is definitely possible. http://dratv.com/adyoatpustto.html or I have an electric start 110cc Honda clone quad engine here under the bench I could look at moving on later when you’re ready for an engine @weetbixkid
  10. https://www.bunnings.co.nz/ozito-gasless-mig-welder-120amp_p00463438 Spot the difference.
  11. Yeah I have one of those. I’m not very good at welding but I’ve birdpoo’d a few things together with it. Seems to go fine. I’m using sodastream co2 bottles with it at the moment.
  12. Believe this is mine / Callum was using it until his tool bag exploded. Can you bring back up these ways too pls Jamie
  13. More Yamaha sharns. Quake City Rumblers Dirtmasters 2018 was coming up and FOAMERS got invited. I put the word out for a bike and this thing was offered to me. So picked that up and spent the few days before with @mo999 sorting it out for some dirt racing. We threw in a V50 engine I had stashed in Christchurch. A homemade expansion chamber ex PPSC. 18" front wheel with no brake hub lol. CT90 rear shocks and seat. Flipped CT90 bars and controls. Was def not the fasted bike there by any means and I actually ended up bending the frame over some jumps enough that it wouldnt corner anymore. Still magaed to pop the knobbly tyre though at the end. Also won Cool Cunt award from QCR for my committment to this POS bike.
  14. Then the next week I loaded it up on my Landcruiser rack and trucked down to Christchurch to ride a few hundred k's with QCR / Easties / Moped NZ. Stopped off for a pest in Wellington on the way too. Bike ran flawlessly over the weekend and I've done heaps of rides on it since. This engine swap hasn't increased the top speed much but it gets there a lot quicker - I love it. Future plans include this rare V90 engine I picked up and this Malyasian Yamaha Mate100 aftermarket expansion chamber I brought over.
  15. Then the top end sounded a bit rattly so decided to put a new top end on - eBay special. Nice castings. Old top end: New top end: Went together fine but 5km up the road it locked the back wheel up on me. Hmm weird. Just a lean seize - see the marks on the corners of the piston / cylinder. This is running a pod filter straight onto the carb - no airbox etc. So I got some larger jets from NZ @Raizer Scootercare and got 7km up the road this time. So I tried fitting the stock V50 airbox and sucess - it was very rich and 4 stroking. This means I have room to safely jet it down. But even with the smallest stock size jet it did the same. Realised the factory V50 intake tube was way too small to replaced this with a straight bit of tube matching the carb throat size. That - with the stock size jet and some foam in the airbox is perfect.
  16. Ah so yep this now has a PW80 donk in it - yeah the kids dirt bike. Bolted right into the frame with only a small mod to the oil pump cable needed and the right foot peg having to be cut and rewelded at a different angle. I swapped the points igition /stator over to the PW80 block to make it easier to keep the lights etc. Then got bored of the average paint job I'd done so stripped it back down again. This is the result. A friend of mine who may or may not work at Air NZ helped me paint it. So if it looks like Boeing black that may be true... I also bought a NOS front guard and rack for it and some repro rear side covers and a leg shied, changed the rear trail light and lowered the front a little. Love the look of it now.
  17. And here ends the saga of this Landcruiser in my ownership. I put new tyres and wheels on it. Some 31 inch mud tyres - cheap Goodrides but did the job. Loaded here up to the brim and moved myself and all my bikes to Tauranga from Auckland. Then while poking around at some flakey bits found some scary looking rust so made the decision to sell the Landy. The rust combined with the still noisy gearbox made this easier - I just can't afford it right now with an overseas trip coming up soon. One day I'll own another 60 series - I absolutley love them. But my time with this one is over. Here's how she looked when I sold it. Sad reacts only.
  18. Some more things. Put in extended shakles in the rear - 2 inch lift. Just to help level out the saggy leaves. And then when 'cruising down the motorway one night the sunroof dissapeared, it flipped back over onto the roof. The frame had rusted so much the glue sealant separated from the frame. Didnt smash the glass though suprisingly. This stayed held on with a tie down until I sorted a replacement.
  19. Used the PTO winch to haul this Fiat out of a field for @mo999 - that was fun. Then had to be towed out of damp grass by a new Landcruiser after I got stuck. Initially I'd just put down the average off road perfoamance to my old tyres but then realised that the front wheels weren't evening spinning when stuck. Checked the transfer case was engaging the front drive shaft and it was - odd. So dug a bit deeper and pulled the front hubs apart. See if you can spot what's missing. Yep - the entire clutch assembly is missing on one side - so that combined with open front diff meant that no power was going to the front wheels - the axle going nowwhere was just spinning. Found the missing parts and reassmled it - tightened both wheel bearings and greased the lot while I was in there.
  20. A Mazda Demio wrote itself off by crashing into me. Broke my tail light lens and pushed the bumper into the body, no dramas. His insurance paid me out a decent amount of cash for the hassle. Then @Geophy built me a motorcycle rack, and I used it to transport mopeds to Christchurch for a Moped NZ / QCR ride. Had 2 Honda Chaly's inside inside the back and three dudes inside. Found some snow and riverbeds while spending time down there. Handled the 3000km round trip with no issues other than a flat tyre.
  21. Better update this fred. Daily'd this truck for a year or so. These things happened during that time; Radiator started leaking so yanked that and got a replacement, new brass unit from CoolDrive. Nice. Old one was missing lots of fins and had split along the top egde.
  22. Eastcape; where else do you see a 60s 2 stroke Suzuki and a hard tail 140cc C50 sharing a forestery road?
