  1. Your running a sr20de? These can be damn loud and raspy with straight thru mufflers even with 2 or 3 in there. You need a triple flow in there to tone it down And a reso up front should sound pretty pleasant.
  2. Have had similar idea for a home heating system a boiler room ducted inside was thinking of an engine running on hydrogen oxygen with waste oil injection running a 10kw generator for the electrical side of house.... this looks easier
  3. Waste oil heater? Where can decent instructions be found.
  4. Been thru this with my many of my triumphs..... ditch the lucas for a junkyard jap spec alternative or a new chev spec one off trademe for $220 bucks your lucas will be running almost at full capacity with the headlights on and sub going anyway.
  5. Forgive me if im wrong but rb25 block with a rb20 crank is doable and a real screamer then you can run either a 25det or 26dett head. i looked into it ages ago too bit foggy on details now decent engine builder will know straight off, few extra cubes and the big head off a gtr would be sweet.
  6. My advice is get a cheap scratch start jobby with an amperage control and argon flow meter (basically a DC Arc welder with a torch) simple to learn with then once your comfortable buy something a bit flasher with AC if you want to do alloy. Oxy/Acetylene welding will actually teach you a lot about tig welding technique if you can get hold of one of those rigs and get good fusing stuff together you'll find the transition to tig quite natural.
  7. When i was doing up my 300zx i used a electronic shiftkit destined for a nissan safari rumour has it the guts are the same in auto trans. Would be worth seeing if a 5 speed box from a turbo z32 could have the td42 belhousing bolted on. Failing that a 350z box may also work both pop up occasionally and are well priced compared to Toyota options.

    PAINT THREAD

I scored a bloody expensive spray gun from my last work after they went airless. Have used it this weekend to paint inside my house most the time its sweet and sprays real nice with nearly no overspray then for no real reason it goes all splatty and shit and throws big droplets of paint everywhere. This is with waterbased paint running off a pressure pot However i have used it to paint a car before with glass like results in laquor same problem would crop up occasionally. Im planning to paint my race trailer soon with it so curious as to whether it is a seal or nozzle problem its a devilbiss Jga gun.
  9. Do the seal dude run 20/50 and a good dose of moreys. A catch can and oversized breather will help too but a new seal will probably cure it Anyway. Cool old rigs wolseleys and i like the 6/110 out of all of them really due to being halfway between a Bentley and a 57 chev..... seal is toast i see an LS1 being a viable economic repair option.
  10. just the space saver tyres on the bike rims pretty sure larger cars like BMWs run a 17 inch spacey.
  11. Surely some spacesaver tyres would actually be ideal for this? Cheap good to 80ks.... perfect.
  12. Did that.... haha radio wants a code now guess I'll be calling holden this week For that.
  13. So after finishing cleaning out what can only be described as the most unloved vx commodore in Auckland I've cocked up by pulling the upholstery out to clean out 14 years of yuck. That done I've upset the system anyone got the gadget to reset this? After a Google it's a common thing to do when you pop a seat out that can not be cleared with a normal plug in scanner tech 2 is needed. Cheers.
  14. Got a mate into all models wolseley if you need any obscure bits he'll have them and probably share some wisdom too. Been in his one doing clutch kicks on a closed road before they can go well with a solid tune.
  15. Piazzanoob you own a piazza right? Pretty sure castlemain rod shop do a Chev into Gemini kit to surely this could be of use to You?
  16. Dude at my work did rings bearings and 30 over pistons in his holden 308 including machine work big cam regrind too for under 1500 bucks.
  17. OK project is taking a detour I've finally convinced a mate to sell me his 2.5 Wagon only took 15 years it needs a lot of work but I have a hoard of parts to make it happen. V8 race seats all moving over to it should offend a lot of purists.
  18. Was watching the sequel to once were warriors the other night 99% sure your car was one of the black snakes gang rides. Had a different movie spec paint job But unmistakable Imo.
  19. Will be a split folding rear seat so entry should be as easy as the donor car. Then there is the v8 and brakes. ..... can you recommend a certifier in Auckland?
  20. Hey finally tracked down a triumph Wagon for a family friendly cruiser. Top of list is an extra 2 seats in cargo area out back as I have 4 kids. What's is the go there regarding seat belts and mounting the seat? Will most likely use a honda odyssey rear seat trimmed to match car. Seat belts should reach rear pillar easy and floor so 3 point belts will work.
  21. It'll kick off once I've sorted a new house at moment I have the parts at home the car stashed. Getting Scratchy Waiting To Rip Into It just waiting For Old Car To be picked up too.
  22. hey dude if you decide to use 3.5" on the exhaust just be aware you will lose a heap of ground clearance and 3.5" mufflers are expensive and usually hard to find. Twin 2.5 inch thru middle of car works good with last two bends in 3.5 inch to a edelbrock muffler at back is cost effective and sounds very meaty. Ran this exact system on my 300zx cost me 350 bucks all up. Was a few years back.
  23. Had my suspicions about stud pattern of corvette rims not been metric it was 10 years ago I had Em and don't think I ever had to pull them off the vk either. Nice looking wheel I think will suit the triumph quite well and also be a nod to the gm drivetrain I'll be running. a live axle rear end could work as mucking around with anything independent will be tricky And expensive.
  24. Cool that's the kind of info I wanted. the back I knew would be harder a different upgrade would be good a hydratrak commodore ass end would be good but to wide I think.
