So, first pictureless update.. story of my life, things have slowed up a bit as shits been busy, EQC repairs etc plus other shit that for some reason I take on then regret.*sigh.. on a brighter note, scored some 121/rx5 standard alloys just in case for some reason. And I hate running short of cash half way through a build, kind of demoralising, def don't want to sell one the stable to keep up with progress.. dunno if its like it for all of you other car hoarders/addicts but once every month or so I get a small hounding from particular parts of the family about selling cars to finish cars and buy a house etc etc whatever fucking boring.. so much for family support hahaha.. Anyway, once all the craziness has subsided somewhat I'm gonna try to get back on track, especially with wiring the link up, could need a hand for that one.. realistically about 60% throught the build, lots of small things to get me there.. chur

cheers for the replies, I'm fairly sure the light used to work also coz it's passed 6 wofs with no prob.. I'm leaning towards the "clock spring" unit.. although, could it possibly be related to electronic hieght adjuster on the drivers seat as that has def been unplugged

what about the air bag? surely that cant use that system.. to many wires?

Ok to all auto sparkies and budding etc, this isn't oldschool related but, I have a piece of shit '92 honda domani (awesome car) that just failed a wof on srs light not coming on. All I can find on the net is about them staying on. The other strange thing that I think is related is the horn works intermittently, since they're both on the steering wheel could it be some sort of connection there.. what sort of connection do they use for newer school horns etc? can't be the same sprung pin and ring style from the 70's.. Thanks for any help, It needs a wof so I can sell it

In my surf you have to have the engine running otherwise it doesn't seem to like sending the fluid through properly..

good you found the leak, standard these put out 80+kw so yours at 48 is waay down, must feel a lot better.. not sure how you expect to 200kw out of one of these but I'll be watching with interest, 166kw p/l is crazy power

I think the biggest you can go on a 1600 case without machining the case is the 1700 sleeve set.. apparently also if you go bigger than 1700 reliability goes out the door.. cam and porting seem to be the best options from my research..

Mine leaked 5 liters on a return trip to kaikoura, stopped in cheviot and it left a big grid shaped oil puddle.. quite embarrassing haha.. also lacked power, struggling to do 100 and splattering oil all over the tailgaters behind me..

And bore/piston kits as cheap as chips.. 450 with mahle pistons

Bro if mine is anything to go by, you've prob stuffed your rings with the overheat and it's got blow by pressuring the crankcase causing the leak..

Did a bit today, the gf has taken the family to Golden Bay for the week.. means I finally have some time. did some wiring haha, installed p/s lines, although my pump is off an rx5 so the high pressure line is 50mm short.. installed alt and associated pulley.. painted and installed p/s pump maybe I should chrome the main pulley.. drive shaft painted and ready to install, although somewhere between taking it it off and now I've misplaced the rubber mounting bushes.. cant even remember what they look like Fuck all crossed of the list really, but hey, better than nothing.. looking more motorish,
