No numbers, maybe why I never thought of it to start with.. might have to try a 4wd weekend tomorrow, seemed to have used the external fan version for longer than passenger cars.

It's set up for a the single wire internal reg one I have it's just all polished etc and looks out of place, I don't mind buying another. Was reading somewhere that there are two types of internal regs, I'm really just after experiences with later model ones etc.. not to sure about rotors either..

HI, had upgraded the alt on my 121 to an internal reg years ago, dunno what the alt was off and buggered if I can find anything remotely similar, does anyone have a) any idea what years fit and/or if any of the later model internal fan ones fit early mazdas or b ) do you have one to sell me.. thanks, Thomas *edit, I do have one, but its all shiney and new looking, doesn't really match the motor I just put in the 121

Well it runs.. Took me a bit to figure out which wires to short for the neutral switch, and also where the dizzy wire was, puff of blue and of it went. Also a battery that sat in storage since 01 initially held no charge but today for some reason was good. Now the fuel pump doesn't work, gah..

Took a backwards step today.. Well.. it wasn't all backwards, just decided to can the turbo for now and just get it legit.. doing my head in just sitting it the garage when I just want to be able to drive it. This is the donor engine I bought for the flywheel in 2012 for $60. Looks to have had a rebuild and the oil is nice and clean, fingers crossed it runs well. The only other major I have to do is paint the good panels I have for it, I'm debating whether or not just to throw them on as is, but as the rest of the car looks pretty clean maybe I'll just rattle can them satin black..

The thing is, it can take just one whiff of diesel to cause cancer, I know people who used to cut asbestos board and be in clouds of dust without a mask, most of these people are late 60's early 70's with no cancer/asbestosis yet.. just take the common sense approach, or as above ,or , if your that worried, get someone else to do it

I think there is a large amount of hype surrounding asbestos, to the point where some people treat it like a poisonous snake. Realistically, its airborne fibers that do the damage and its not like its one hit and your out sort of thing.. If i think I'm dealing with asbestos I either wet the shit before breaking/cutting it or wear a good mask.. Its no worse than microsilica and that shit is everywhere especially concrete.

Should smell kind of soapy when you cut it..

or just drink water, unless its the sugar rush your after..
