  1. Need a sweet set up for the FC... My old Alpine setup is failing..
  2. Ha ha yep. It's called 'Happy Dayz' and has the pp 'Fonz'.
  3. Think my old man is heading to this, if you see a way over the top MK1 Zephyr Convertiable that'll be him.
  4. Yeah, weather looks pants. But it is Auckland so ANYTHING could happen.
  5. This is on again this weekend, however the long range forecast is not looking good. Anyone keen for a Partsmaster pre-meet convoy thingie?
  6. They are way too long, clips in the wrong place and the clips are really bad, but having wear holes next to where the clips are are just poor/shoddy workmanship. The join is terrible and the over all quality is just really really poor. If I didn't have to use them then I wouldn't of, but the ones on the car were just worn out. I am super fussy, but I wouldn't recommend Phils Rotaries for quality or service. Which isn't a bomb shell as everyone already knew that Phills stuff is shit.
  7. The door rubbers are total shit. I mean really fucking shit.
  8. Izzy, I really enjoyed sitting in your Citroen! Also french cars rule and brake buttons are awesome. Good meet, see you all at Caffeine and Classics!
  9. For the record we don't actually meet IN the backyard bar, just in the car park. Oh, and your 100% about the Morris Minor, I'm just too slack to fix it and hate drum brakes... (It's actually a really original straight as one lol)
  10. Awesomeamazeboobs. Will see peeps at about 6:45! Unfortunately it will not be in the Morris. As it is a piece of shit.
  11. Are any of the Usual Suspects meeting at the Backyard bar before hand? EDIT: or anyone for that matter?
  12. Weather is looking good! Might even come along!
  13. ^More computer savy person/moderator could insert a sweet google map thingie.
  14. Cafeine and Classics is held on the last Sunday of every month. https://maps.google.co.nz/maps?q=Smales+Farm,+Auckland&hl=en&ll=-36.7837,174.753556&spn=0.008352,0.013797&sll=-36.786123,174.754865&sspn=0.008352,0.013797&oq=smales+farm&t=m&z=16 WHERE: Smales Farm, Auckland WHEN: 10am till 1pm. WHAT TO BRING: All cars are welcome. This has proved to be a popular event and in July there were over 300 cars in attendance. Everything from V8's to Rotaries. Hot Rods to Vintage. Euro to Japanese. Everything. http://protectainsur...une-2013-Photos Pictures of past events can be viewed here. Oldschool even got a special mention in the August write up for that months event.
  15. Not taking the piss here but Super Cheap has 20% of everything in store today, perhaps you could swing by and pick up a cheapish socket set to get you on your way. Generally speaking I don't recommend buying cheap tools, but if you don't have any, even a cheap set will get you on your way today. They also do axl stands etc for cheap. My £0.02.
  16. Hi there! Welcome to Oldschool. Here is a link to last months meet. They are always at the same place and a new thread is started each month for members to post awesomeness in. Here is a link to last months thread. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/39672-auckland-monthly-meet-21-august-unpinned-for-karl/ Also, we highly recommend new members try out the search function. It works really well! See you at the next months meet!
  17. $189k?! God Damn the North Shore is expensive lol.
  18. My bad. The RX-7 garnish I got was NOS and I'm happy with that. Upon checking the auction again for the badges they just state that they are "brand new". So basically it's my fault for being a dick and not double checking that "Brand New" meant NOS. Badges are pretty shit and good for fuck all. I haven't checked the door rubbers.
  19. There was still about 70 cars during the morning at Smales and the rain held out. Short wait on coffee and met a couple of new faces. Was cool all rocking up together behind the Lada of awesomeness. Also enjoyed seeing people looking the at 7 with its gentlemans reading on the floor and 24 Steinies rolling about in the back. Cruise around the bays went well and was neat being able to park up on the grass at riverhead, drink cider, eat food, talk bollox and not get too wet. Was an easy to organise hassle free day I thought. Good times.
  20. Well over here on the Shore it isn't currently raining. There has been some light drizzil (sp?) and it is rather grey.. I'll still be in attendance however and will be at Partsmaster just after 9am.
  21. Well my bits arrived today. The NOS mazda 808 badges I ordered did indeed turn out to be shit (I mean really fucking shit) repro ones in metal and are shit.(did I mention how shit they are). Will look at doing the door rubbers this weekend, but after seeing the quality of the repro mazda badges I am not holding my breath that my door rubbers will be any good. *sad face*
  22. ok so I rang the Riverhead Tavern and spoke with Jan, On Sunday the Zephyr and Zodiac Car club are headin to the Tavern and they are opening the gates and letting them park on the grass. Jan has also offered the grass area to us to if we want to go there. She also said we can go and park on there anytime as long as we ring up and let her know we are coming. So, in summary, we can go to Riverhead Tavern on Sunday afternoon and get parking all together on their grass. She was also a lot friendlier and helpful than the guy at Hallertau.
