Whats more sensible than a Volvo? Beige trousers maybe... I now have both. I was given this Volvo from a Neighbor. Its got a broken engine mount and he couldn't find one to replace it. So he bought a new car. Its got over $12k worth of receipts & fully serviced by the local continental workshop. Its pretty sweet, has a 2.0L Sohc injected motor, its manual & it goes like a raped ape. So I've got a mount coming from the UK. Seeing as it was free Im quite happy to spend some coin on rims & low etc. on with the pics:

100% stock, I do like the boot spoiler & chin spoiler

Heres the inspiration

then I got silly & tried to put some 17x7 chromes on it....YUCK

What it needs is more dish. I need some 4x100 to 4x114 hub adapters so I can put my steels on it.

So the engine mounts are buggered.... Interesting/stupid set up on these. Engine is suspended on hydraulic spindle style mounts. And do you think I can find new ones? No way, no aftermarket option available what so ever. Volvo can get me some from Sweden at a tiny $375+gst each. with a 6 week wait. So I've been researching my options.

here's the mounts:

I read through the Kelpro mount book at work and there's nothing that looks like its going to work. Apart from 1x Peugeot mount, but at $660 a pop I may as well get the Volvo genuine ones.

In the UK a few people have used a product called Sikaflex 291. Drilled holes in the old mounts to drain the fluid out, then re filling with the Sikaflex with good results. So I may give this a go.

doit. I get ALL of the bits for my pugs from them that I don't buy aftermarket.

sometimes they're cheaper, sometimes more expensive. Bit of a lottery but worth a shot. I don't even double check the pricing anymore as the bits that are dearer are outweighed by the bit that are cheap as. plus you don' thave to deal with wanker dealers that turn their nose up a your 'old' car. hah

Stink man. Refilling is the best. Mine are shagged and engine dances around when revving. Have just been ignoring it for now.

Tempted to just solid mount mine tbh

They are super specialised as the engine hangs from them. So there's like no aftermarket

Speed couldnt help me out so Fuck it, i decided to drill some holes and fill the mounts up. 1st I squished them down with a large hose clamp, then i drilled 4x holes around the top and filled the cavity up with this sikaflex stuff. Then bake in the oven for afew hours & leave outside for a week to make sure they fully cured.
