Grumpy Posted February 24, 2023 Share Posted February 24, 2023 I have a 1980 Ford Courier ute. Stock standard 4cylinder petrol. The GVM as recorded for it is 3500kg. Most utes of this model GVM are 1999kg. I was thinking of stretching it at the rear to put a longer deck on it and running another axle. (6wheeler) Question is.. Will the cert fulla change the GVM from whats on the paper work (3500kg) to what most utes are in this model (1999kg) or leave it as it is. Can a cert fulla even change the GVM? (6wheeler) An engineer (the kind who makes things) in the Mangakahia valley did this in the '80s. Was V8 powered but I forget whether it was a Windsor or a Cleveland.
