taylerreed94
So i have a 84 TT141 corona with a recent brake upgrade from a GA61 Celica/Supra. The stock Caliper has a 45mm Piston, The Upgrade has a 53mm Piston, The Stock MAster Cylinder was 13/16 The Current brand new one in it is 15/16 (which is the same size as the one from the GA61 i got the brakes from) With the car turned off the pedal feels fine, maybe a little squishy like theres air in there (I've bled it 15 times, different methods, same result, Turn the car on and the pedal sinks till its just touching the ground. Itll still stop the car but not quickly, if you pump the pedal it feels fine and then sinks to the floor again. Blocking the booster resolved the pedal travel issue but obviously you need both feet to slow the thing down. Im out of ideas here, dont know what my next step is. Any suggestions? Cheers guys
thegreatestben
Did you get a decent brand of master cylinder? I've had 1 or 2 instances where cheap aftermarket cylinders have been shit right out of the box and caused me heaps of problems. What method of bleeding are you using? cletus
^ same here. poo brand cylinder made me chase my tail for a while sorting out a brake-jamming-on issue
Seedy Al
also check the length of the rod out of the booster into the back of the master cylinder etc
