Mr Vapour
Yep that's the correct Holden caliper I'm looking at using. I did not realise that the 540 had thicker discs. Thanks for the tip. Now I know that I have an option if the Holden brakes don't work out I'm hoping to grab a caliper and disc this weekend and have a friend Chuck the disc in his lathE. I measured the bore on the hub the other day and the e24 centre bore is larger than the Holden. I'm hoping it will all work out.
M M
I like where this is going. That would've been my plan for an E21, m50 or m52.
Duddley
Hey champ, guess a medium case LSD would be too puny for the new motor to handle? http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1071508886
Mr Vapour
Mid case will handle 300HP so will be fine for my little car. That's why I already have a mid case lsd on the floor in the shed. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahs

Mr Vapour
Looks great on the tiny wheels puhuhuhu. Good progress so far! It's amazing what you can do when the wife goes away for a couple of days and you spend a couple of nights in the shed. I'm hoping to make steady progress from here slow but steady. The grey car lucky has good steel where this has rust to this point. Off to buy a spot weld cutter tomorrow. I also have to buy a bunch of box tube and make a rotisserie.
