karmagedon
I've tried searching for this, but cannot get a grasp on the mechanics involved. I'm trying to play around with fuel tank location ( more specifically the outlet of the tank ) vs caburator intake and the line work involved. how much "suction power" does the venturi effect of the carb create? Can you run the fuel tank outlet lower (about 10mm) than the carb. Thanks for any input
AllTorque
Fuel pump?
flyingbrick
Your threads confused me as I'm also a carb novice. Don't they all have bowls and floats? Pump or head only fills bowl and venturi effect only draws fuel from bowl into engine. Eg minor fuel pressure increases or decreases won't affect anything and there is no natural venturi effect on bowl to draw fuel in... Please educate me
AllTorque
The carb doesn't draw fuel from the tank. Unless you have a motorbike where the fuel tank is above the carb you need a fuel pump the fill the fuel bowl of the carb.
