Jorden
My zetecs going to be carbed and i want to run it off an esc module as its cheaper than an esc and apparantly arent too bad Only needs four wires to run apparantly. What Fiestas / Escorts have them? do i need the sensors or loom from that car or can i use the zetec ones? I know that theres a 98 and a 97 escort at pickapart at the moment. Cheers. eke_zetec_RWD
Bear in mind a link g4+ atom is only 1000 and will run ignition fully adjustable. Also future proofs you if change to injection. Also you then have rev limiters, over heating limiters, warning lights etc.
anglia4
Or consider a mega jolt. I had everything I needed for a mega jolt setup for under $400 if memory serves
Jorden
Yea i understand that an ecu will be alot better but im trying to look at the cheapest option, and it apparently doesn't run it as bad as people think. If ive read the pick a part website correctly i can get an esc module for $14 dollars
bigmatt4
i have done a bit of resarch into this and have found people have been sucessful on this with only a single carb and no engine mods as the timing control is vacume sensed so if you are running sidedrafts or cams the vacume will be too unstable for an acurate reading causng the timing to jump all around the show better off with aftermarket ecu i would say
