J-Calico
Greedy lewl. I do hope so Ryan, I do hope so. But upon inspection they are slightly different. Be interesting to know where what's made tbh.
J-Calico
Also, Weekend proved to be a Victorious one for spending vs savings... That being spending won out (again..) so not victorious for anything but the HCR Spied a driveshaft custom made, balanced etc for R32, to use FS5R30A (25det big box.. Gah I hate that name!) As the output is much bigger, 32/RB20 shit is too small, so the ECR33 yoke must be used. I'd never seen a made one for sale on the tard before, but fuck it was pricey at 450-500 RES/BN. Scrolled the deets of the auction, and hello, he has FS5 box and mint ORC clutch too... Long(er). Story short, the lot was had for a decent price considering the value of these fucking gearboxes, (3rd I've bought thanks to the ER34's old appetite for them w/ the triple plate) so I was rather happy, bank account, not so much.... What made it sweeter was the fact I'd also FINALLY found/bought a (vvti) JZ alternator for a reasonable price from the same city (New Plymouth) so scooped up both on Saturday. Will put a photo up tomorrow, for max effect/updates suck without them/ OGURA is so sweet! But I'm poor AS now, so no progress for a while me thinks... ryanfels
You might know. I have a r33 G sensor i need to sell. Any idea what they are worth?
SHGWAG
If the R34 is costing you too much I'll gladly take it off your hands / It's so sweet. Suppose I'm lucky in the fact that 3rd Gen RX7 Boxes can take a bit of punishment / rotaries don't make any torque so don't break things. (Well they do but it goes in this order: Diffs > Axles > clutches > gearboxes)
J-Calico
You might know. I have a r33 G sensor i need to sell. Any idea what they are worth? From a GTR?Unsure here too Ryan, probably one of those things were it could be worth a decent amount, to the right person... Think I've seen R32 ones for like $120ish on the tard, but are they selling is the question?
ryanfels
Yea for a GTR.

(Well they do but it goes in this order: Diffs > Axles > clutches > gearboxes) Haha, yea, lucky you. Are the Diffs hard to find? Saw the boxes aren't to bad (spied one for $660) It has ripped half the crown wheels teeth off before, and twisted a driveshaft whilst breaking both ends universals aswell to, but this is mostly due to the overly aggressive 'take-up' of the triple plate though, I'm sure it'll refrain from this sort of behaviour now... SHGWAG
Factory diffs are few and far between, although because they're torsen the drift boys bin them. $660 for a gearbox? Shit the price has gone up, last time I looked they were going for $350-400. A decent LSD is worth $1000-1500, however, this is what causes axles to break. Mazdaspeed do billet? axles to fix this though. I'm running a single plate heavy duty clutch, seems to be holding up to the power ok, although when I re tune it may slip on the dyno.... I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
J-Calico
Got the FS5R30A and Ogura Racing/ORC Cltuch & flywheel, plus the modified driveshaft to suit the bigger output size of the R33/FS5 turbo box into the R32
J-Calico
Pulled RB20 out, and the dash to await the R25 and a tidier dash w/ unbroken vents (hopefully).RB25 engine.HATE the rocker cover colour BTW. It Came like this,Will be getting crinkle-coat Black treatment which a friend has kindly sourced. Old dash.. Old hole
J-Calico
In typical me fashion, its been alot of saving for parts and storing them until I can complete the job and have pretty much everything necessary to do so when the time comes. I've amassed a few goodies for this bitch now, it should be quite cool for an R32 when its done fingers crossed... Matte Black XD9 wheels Varying degrees of quality for camber arms.. (the GKtech CNC'd alloy ones for the rear being the much better items, and the same as in the R34 Coupe) Bride seat rail.. Pair of older style Bride (Brix?) aquried from my Cousin, Takata Harness' also via Trigger, This B-pillar interior floor brace they sell on the Tard... and a pair of Cusco Type OS strut Braces
J-Calico
And for the engine, a gasket set and this cheap stainless front pipe which will hopefully be okay quality... Will do the rear main seal and possibly slip the engine into place unless other things required are easier with the bitch out. I'll have to talk to more knowledgeable parties on this Then I just need to sort out what to do with the intake set-up (I hate over-the-engine factory inlet shit, but ugly front facing's are just as bad) and saving for a genuine Greddy will take forever. Then mount the '33 GTR intercooler I've purchased and get a friend to alter the pipework. Plus injectors and fuel pump, the later of which I think I have in the pipeline.. Would LOVE a link but at this stage i cannot afford to do so

J-Calico
More useless parts/no real progress... Been rolling this sweet boat lately, a steal @ $2,650 or something a-rather? from earlier in the year. JZS147 (same as easrly Arsito oddly?) Crown Majesta Not full chassis like the normal model in the series Originally bought it for my Dad, as he had a freaking Taurus (argh!) that cost him half-this-car's-cost, at the auto-electrician in one hit, and other various fails... I'm unsure if he was even keen at the time, but it was purchased and im sure he warmed up to it somewhat.. He neglected to drive it for bit as the headlights were pretty toast, and would probably failed a warrant. I used the help of random dudes on selling lights for a normal model on Trademe to import some tidy ones (at a price..) From the motherland. Then did a couple of 'servicey' things and use it whilst my 'darling Mrs' has the KZN185 (low priority on fixing her Laser/she loves the Surf) It could do with a bit morte love still, but so could everything else. Popped the EFDH Eurolines I scored for a bargin, brand new in the boxes off the Tard on it, as it came on ZZ30 Soarer rolling stock. Old tires the Meisters came with. 235/40R18 GSD3 Eagles up front, 265/40R18 Potenza GIII Bridgestones on the rears, oddly they sit about the same on the Mesiters, which are the same width all round, even though the Bridgey's are 30mm wider. Shows whats in different manufacturing/models I Know, it desperately needs to be lowered, and word through the grapes is a friend who drifts a 800 horse MKIV Supra, also has a JZS147 Aristo that came on coilovers from Japan when imported> He put good Tein's in the MKIV, and swapped the coilovers that came in the Supra from Japan, into the Aristo, which also came on platforms, so there is supposedly a set spare around... J-Calico
The Fucking Nissan is broken too... It appears it may be a Crank pulley/key way failure but we are yet to strip it down. Fingers crosseds its bearings at worst, maybe crank. A very slight noise, may not be run but I sent an oil sample through our local Goughs Branch to be tested and the results weren't great.. Damn Bearing-running RB engines, they're so shitty really. If it wasn't post purchase of the RB25t motor for the R32 that I struck bad luck, I dare say I'd be seriously looking into putting a JZ into the '32.. Or getting another dope X chassis. However I will forge ahead wit these POS things Ha! Got a reasonably Tidy BCNR33 GTR cooler for it, as it was an okay price and I kinda want to have a tidy intercooler that 'works' visually. Was tossing up between one of these, an HDi GT2 like I put into the R34, or a Greddy item, purely because they're all nice/ would work well aesthetically and should all be really good quality. another Wank factor item, a Carbon GTR Grill replica. Cant be stuffed having the plastic Maroon one painted just yet, I think I'll leave it until I have where the rear guards were haggerededed up fixed and painted, so this will do the trick for the time being. Money waste maybe, but meh. Had this poorish-ly made carbon N1 Bonnet lip replica for over a year I'd imagine too. New half-moon seals for the rear of the valve train cover/head. Tired up a couple of the XD9's too, as one of the only perks of my New(crappy) job is tire deals. They're a crap tire, but for the cost and new I'm not complaining. (almost feel guilty about putting S#!T tires on Work/nice-ish wheels, and I usually wouldnt, but cheap through work/way too poor for FK452/T1R currently. (NOTE no engine in vehicle so little weight in the front/is high) they sit in abit, thats a 15mm BLPP spacer (hub-centric and only $79 for a pair!) under there so plenty of room! The 10" is an even higher offset, which is yuck to contemplate, but its about perfect really.. Even with the 15m spacer it pisses in under the Front BNR32 guards. Might have to run them and DTM 099D in 10/5 on the rear. I hate fake wheels but these are affordable, good looking wheels in a decent size, which sadly look quite good/ like the genuine article. And Image-Shack has fucked out on me. Great
SHGWAG
So what size are the XD9s? I've been Pining so hard for a set of white 18x10s for the FD, but whenever I have the cash, something else always pops up!
