Spencer
Good move man, get it running lush and they are one of the best 4 barrel carbs out there for a road car.

dr.wylde
Ok I had to take the carb off and I did some basic checks all the screws that hold it together where loose. but the rest checked out ok ( for now) I will be rebuilding it down the line. removed the steel plugs that house the idle mix screws. and cut some grooves into the heads as they have no provision for screwdrivers. Since then I have been reading up on tuning q-jets and the like using a vac gauge. not as accurate as a wideband but i thought i'd give it a go. gotta say spenno I dont know why people poo-poo the quaddie cos it was quite easy now my 308 is idling like a boss and has a nice crispy revving sound (if you get what I mean) the only thing left to do is to recurve the dizzy. mind you a wide band is still a must in IMO along with the book your thoughts/abuse please!
