Brennan
Realised today that the electronic speedo sender unit on my altezza 6speed box is not going to work with the old mechanical speedo in the corolla. Is there something on link ecu's that fix this? or another simple fix? I have seen a few ae86's and ke70's on youtube etc with this conversion and working speedo's Any help would be great, i am aware that you can buy "convertor" boxes but there must be another way. Raizer
Don't the W** mechanical speedo drives fit the Altezza boxes?
Brennan
thats what i am hoping for, something mechanical that fits. This is a mx5 mechanical drive that looks very similar to the altezza unit.
Raizer
6 speed MX5? They use the same basic box as the Altezza. I am pretty confident that the W5* drives do fit the Altezza.
Brennan
Yea just read on google that is200 is the same as w5* so altezza must be too. anybody know where to buy w5* speedo drive from?
Brennan
does the ke70 speedo cable fit the w5* drive?
Roman
I used carina speedo cable, w55 speedo, tezza box. Worked sweet but speedo is off with a 4.3 diff and 205/50/15. Would need a 4.1 or 3.9 to be accurate, or larger tolling diameter (with 43 tooth) Will probably end up buying a brand new 45 tooth one from TNZ. Brennan
Cheers for the info. I picked up a w58 one yesterday which fits my corolla cable and tezza box. Cheers
