hi all i have a 1968 mk2 cortina and started to sand blast the engine bay

but it seams to be taking a long time and its not stripping it right back

ive been doing it with a fine to medium grit grante

but would i be better of using a bigger grit or just using the da sander

Can you please put more detail into your thread title. It will help the people that can actually help you find your thread.

Other than that I stood in my engine bay for fucking ages with a strip disk cleaning off the aftermath of a billion cans of paint strip.

It worked but there is bound to be a better/easier way.

sandblast the engine bay, nothing brings it up better, im guessing you have one of the 'dip the hose in the bag of sand ' type? they are painstaking to use. i went and bought one of the 'fill the barrel with sand and plug the air pressure into it' type. way better, less blockages and way faster.
