Sparkle
So, basically started to pop ideas in my head when reading Leons thread in regards to his 1256. Was thinking of buying one of these for myself in a couple weeks; http://www.ebay.com/itm/NISSAN-DATSUN-5 ... 05&vxp=mtr When I started wondering, could I change to something sweeter for around the same sort of cash/not heaps more? The above carb is prolly gonna cost me close to $400 landed. Am pretty certain/internet knowledge/think Mitch tried it, that an MGB manifold bolts straight on, giving twin SUs. Worth buggering around with for lols? Or better just to stick with a standard carb?
Sparkle
e.g, some SUs and manifold on Ebei; http://www.ebay.com/itm/MGB-Intake-Carb ... c2&vxp=mtr and a 32/36 Weber conversion kit/manifold with new carb for not a lot more; http://www.ebay.com/itm/WEBER-CARBURETO ... 66&vxp=mtr
RUNAMUCK
Sparkle-san, Dat620 at NZ datsun has a single 40mm sidedraft on his 620. Since the J series motors were just BMC motors built under license, the BMC manifold fits! PS, Do a skid bro!
Sparkle
choice. Not sure which way to go tbh. Are SU's yuck? Or just a bit of a prick to tune?
RUNAMUCK
SU's are a sweet sweet carb when set up properly. Very responsive, and good on gas when driven nice too. Although the manifold I was refering to was this one
kyteler
Get a fat fucking sidie brah/SUs would be cooler for twin factor but a single sidie would be pretty spesh too.
