damz721
Hey guys i've got a 1987 Mx73 Toyota Cressida and are looking at options to lower it. As superlows aren't available for this car as far as i know .. I have heard from the grapevine that ma61 springs fit straight in? if so i could buy superlows for them and would drop it 2-3" or any other ideas would be welcome. Sambo
Sw20 rear inserts at the front and 45mm washers at the bottom of the strut or you can get them shortened to keep them captive. Cut or compressed springs for the front (unless you wanna get coilover sleeves welded on)Your standard springs will work or you can get celica st205 and ma61 front springs and it should work too (cut them maybe?) thats what i did for mine anyway. certifiers said as long as they are captive it should be ok... depends on the certifier really.. cut 1.5 coils will make it just above legal height For the rears AE86 shocks to keep the rears captive, holden ones and rav 4 shocks should fit too.. for the springs USE ford falcon springs. (cut them) they're thick so your car will handle really nice. can lower your car 100mm lower than stock no probs.
k2dori
+ = HAHAHA OMG, Yeah dude rears is simple as cake 1 1/2 coils in rear, and you will have a good drop yet still be captive, front do a 1 and 1/2 or 2 in front and use gx61 shocks to get it captive. Just don't over heat the spring and you'll be sweet. And the ride is freaking sweet. (this has uncut ma61 springs in front in this pic but doesn't completely match up to the rear 1 1/2 cut) This is the mx73 spring with 1 and 1/2 out front on 14's. Don't be fooled by the front gaurd gap as the front gaurd is at a way heigher level than rear. Best of Luck, Stan.
