nzsubbie
Since I took those pics ive been removing badly rusted screws and removed the plasic cover that goes over the whole rear of the engine. Also removed... the fuel tank, some stone guards, the chain cover. Next thing to do is remove the brake pedal. Its well and truely stuck on. had to heat up up to try get it loosened. Once that is off I can remove the plasic where that you rest your feet on. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i139/xtsub/motorbike%20and%20scooters/FUJI%20RABBIT/Picture12202.jpg[/img]
nzsubbie
Ive spent some more time working on it today. Took a bit of work but managed to get the front flairing off. Next thing to do is to remove the motor. wiring loom and clean all the rust off it. Might redo the whole loom to make it look mint once done.... Would not be that hard to do. Will have to fix the kick start. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i139/xtsub/motorbike%20and%20scooters/FUJI%20RABBIT/Picture12249.jpg[/img] Looking at this pic you can see the big round rubber block thats acts as the shock and spring The foot brake http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i139/xtsub/motorbike%20and%20scooters/FUJI%20RABBIT/Picture12288.jpg[/img] http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i139/xtsub/motorbike%20and%20scooters/FUJI%20RABBIT/Picture12289.jpg[/img]

Ive never had a project do that before. Sadley the plasic isnt as good as it looks in the pics. I do not know what my oppions are with it yet. I will just try get the frame etc all done and motor running before I worry about it. Maybe use them as fiber glass molds or something

Started to give the alloywheel hubs a polish. When I get some cash I will get the rims painted or power coated and buy some brand new tires. Wanting some white walls. Heather.belle
Great to see this old machine. I did not know that Fuji made Victa's, although I did know the Victa brand. How is the restoration going?
Threeonthetree
I'm not so sure that he still uses this forum. But you should be able to find him on the ClubSUB forums Pretty sure that his username is the same, though Joker/Keltik could confirm this. JoKer
Old Skool Subbie Hey man. Yea thats me. It got put on hold when I brought a road running and road Registed version a few years ago. I ended up putting both away after getting very busy and flat at work. I got as far as a stripping the frame. It just needed a little work then was close to going to get that part powder coated. Will Restore it to its Original colors in Goldy orange, Grey and White. The pannels on my 1st one was pretty wrapped and cracked. My second one the panels are pretty good so need to use it for fiberglass molds. Heres my other one.... //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/27825-victa-mkii-aka-fhi-1965-s102-rabbit/?hl=rabbit

Heather.belle
Hi - I have just looked at your photos again. I had forgotten that I had looked at them. These old machines are fantastic, the quality and the attention to detail on my Rabbit is amazing. I cannot wait to get out on the road on it, perhaps a month away. Now I am looking for scooter groups with a view to going on group rides. Heather
Heather.belle
Actually this one looks in similar condition to my yellow one - sad but restorable. I am on the hunt for parts right now.
