escorted
I have decided to run some twin side draught carbs on my pinto powered escort and was wondering if the standard fuel pump is up to the job? Carbs are 40mm Dellortos. Cheers, Matt
Unclejake
Given the standard Mk4 Cortina's ravenous thirst for fuel I would suggest you try the factory pump as it is likely to be adequate
Testament
Facet pumps are usually used for twin weber/dellorto/solex etc. setups they are ideal as they have the right flowrate and pressure output so do not usually require a regulator. sholdowa
As long as it's not rooted, it'll run twin 40's fine. If going the electric route, facet red tops, etc have a nominal 6-7psi pressure, which is a bit too high for a Weber. Use a regulator after a nice filter king to get it down to 3.5 - 4psi ( or at least check the pressure at the carbs... )
