Josh
Right so final thing basically is to lengthen the driveshaft. What I'd like to know is when I measure it, how much should I pull out from tight in the gearbox spline end to accomodate for suspension travel etc? So pushing it tight into the gearbox, how much should it need to come out to allow for the odd movement it will have? Cheers
KKtrips
Vvega will confirm this and so will any company you get to shorten/lengthen driveshafts.. But from memory it is 15-20mm
drftnmaz
depends on how much travel you have but we always make ours with the diff jacked up and shaft fully into the g/box then 25mm shorter

eritate
15 - 25mm. Ive got 20mm clearance in my driveshaft. ATL driveshaft balacing and shortning are really good/helpful. They in hamilton What good practice to do is to measure from the SEAL in the gearbox to the front flange on the diff. Make your own mesaurement but give this measurement to the driveshaft guys and they will tell you what it should be Mike
Guest vvega
unless they know articulation its a pointless measurment to have
kpr
from end of output shaft to diff flange face is usually what they are after. not from seal
