My name is Russell Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 The escorts tail lights dont go when the headlights are on, they still go when i break just not on intermediate so noone can see me from behind at night untill i break. So far i have checked the bulbs fillaments and they arn't blown. Dont even know where to start looking for this one, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance. 0R10N Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 on most Jap cars (which an escort isn't) the tail lights are on the same circuit as the park lights and dashboard/console backlighting, so if the fuse blows, they all stop working. could be a good place to start? But will look at that. Sweeney Posted November 22, 2008 Share Posted November 22, 2008 not sure if you got it fixed or not but if not try checking the earth and all the connections in the boot. i had the same problem with the anglia, just turned out to be shit in the boot moving the wires.
