hey does any know what the firing patterin of a 1256 chevette engine and which leads go where took mine of to get new ones and forogot to mark the old ones thanks guys

from what i remember, at the front of the car looking at the engine, the front left is the number1 plug lead

turn it over rotor goes anti clockwise left at 12

baaaap get tdc on 1 look where rotor is closest to on left assuming you havent moved or removed dissy rattle 1342134213423414 vacuum solenoid points roughly toward the left hand side of radiator(passenger) PUT NO1 on then 3 going left around cap etc,

start and adjust with timing light or by ear retard clockwise twist will want to stall, advance=anti

will race and try and fire before intake valve is closed ie back thru carb,

cant remember exact setting

you'l figger it out retard to much it will cough and fart haveno power,

advance to much and it will back fire through carb etc ie fail
