In my Lancer the 5-speed gearbox for my 4G32 takes 2 Litres
Ke36
yea had a look on austarion forum and they said 2.3 litres for the staz box, there pretty much identical so 2.3 will do i just got some of that epx 80-90 guna chuck it in my locked hilux and my box dunno the condition of either yet so dont want to go throwing mean as oil in it, depending on how it shifts with this stuff i may just leave it in there or change it
fuel
You want Castrol Multitrax in the gearbox, dunno about the Hilux diff if it's LSD it may need LSD fluid. I wouldn't use EPX in the gearbox, it's the wrong viscosity.
Ke36
epx is 80 90 pretty standard gearbox stuff isnt it hilux is just a locker so same shit in there multi trax is just 75-90 so just a bit thinner when cold
fuel
it's what both Mitsubishi and oil co's like Mobil, Castrol, Valvoline all recommend for that gearbox.. so stab and a dark would say to use what they recommend.
Ke36
lol sweet i just used almost 4litres on my hilux diff anyways so have to buy some more of something that seem slike a shitload of oil to put in there anyone know how much there meant to be? i just kept filling till it came out the hole a bit
fuel
surely not 4L.. 2L at the very most I would say. you could have a leaking (or missing axle seal) and the oil is escaping down the axle housing?
Ke36
axel seals go in just before the bearing anyways dont they?i just put them sitting in the last bit of the housing oil is meant to get around the axel just not the bearing i thought yea i just think 4l is fucking heaps and i cant find info anywhere on the net everything just says till it comes out the filler hole
Ke36
ok just found this site here http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/d ... cants.html which in the taBLE SAYS I NEED 2.4 QUARTS OF OIL WHICH IS ROUGHLY 2.3 LITRES SO ITS WAY OVERFULL QUESTION NOW IS IS WHERE IS ALL MY OIL GOING? CAR IS ON A SLIGHT ANGLE BUT NOT SO SEVERE 2 LITRES WOULD DISAPEAR DO THE AXEL SEALS NEED TO BE PUSHED FURTHER DOWN THE AXEL HOUSINGS? isnowi
Diffs don't get filled all they way up, there might be a cap on the back of the diff housing just above halfway, if there is take it out, then when the oil starts coming out it's got enough.
